I visited this restaurant in the summer (June) and the weather was amazing. We sat outside under big umbrellas so even though it was hot in the sun we had plenty of shade. I ordered the eggs Benedict and a dragon fruit bowl and my boyfriend ordered an egg sandwich. Everything was delicious! Our drinks included iced latte, water (that came with fresh mint and raspberries was refreshing), and he got a coffee with milk. The quality of the plates, chairs and service was top. Our food came in a timely manner and all the boxes I normally check off as a foodie were satisfied here. We like to eat breakfast in the afternoon so it was nice that they had egg options past 1pm! It was a sunny Saturday morning and my partner and I were walking around the beautiful streets of Freiburg when we came across this restaurant. The one star is purely for the restaurant’s charm and interior, and that’s where the compliments end. When we sat down to order, the waitress tending to us was rude and impatient. We had to wait around 15 minutes till we got our drinks and it took 45 minutes to get our food. The eggs were bland, and the pancakes were a concoction of sugar with 2 mere strawberries on top. it was my first time visiting this location and it has a tonne of potential! The location is beautiful outside and the menu is exciting, but we had a really disappointing service experience. Being that all 6 of us work in service ourselves we considered the workload the entire duration of our stay along with the idea „everyone has a bad day once in awhile“ but it did not excuse the amount of mistakes that happened and the lack of service we received.
