Delphi — Restaurant in Freising

One of my favourite places in the city. Accessible from the centrum by a short walk, has a nice mood to it. The staff are friendly, even when by mistake we went in 40 minutes before closing (sorry again, we didn't notice) they welcomed us, even though we said we'd come back after the reopening. The food is superb, when you say authentical greek food then I think of Delphi. I strongly recommend their mixed plates, first you get a big, tasty salad appetiser, then the actual food, which consists of different kind of meats (souvlaki is just sooo goood), allowing you to taste more than one unique greek meal for one price (and one belly). The portions are big, god bless whoever can eat all of it and even a dessert, because it's nearly impossible. The desserts are also super, this one on the picture is my favourite so far. Viele werden mich jetzt hassen. Aber nicht einmal einen stern sind sie wert. Angefangen beim essen das fleisch in der mitte noch roh aussen aber angebrannt. Bei den Pommes habe ich vorher gefragt ob die für mich und mein kind reichen? Antwort: ja ist ausreichend drauf. 36 Pommes für 1 1/2 personen finde ich nicht ausreichend. Also habe ich nach bestellen müssen, so verdienen sie ja geld! Fliegen um mich rum unzählbar, ich konnte nicht in ruhe essen weil ständig ne flige auf der gabel war... das Radla hat abgestanden geschmeckt. Und jetzt zum personen anfangs ganz nett der Chef kam dann und hat sich beschwerd weil ein paar steine auf dem Tisch waren, die mein sohn da hin gelegt hat weil man die aus den rillen nicht mehr raus bekommen würde. Ich hab sie alle ohne Probleme weg bekommen, das letzte essen war aber noch zwischen den rillen, so viel da zu. Die frage “was willst du zu trinken“ lasse ich mal dahin gestellt. Nach dem zahlen, bei dem ich nicht verabschidet wurde von dem kellern der mich kassiert hat. Danach bin ich an 4 Kellnern und der chefin vorbei und keiner hat auf Wiedersehen gesagt oder sonst was. Ich war nicht zum ersten mal da, mein Papa liebt es dort aber ich werde nicht mehr mit gehen, weil jedes mal was mim essen ist. Kalt, angebrannt, nicht durch, zu durch. Hoch schwanger habe ich mir dort mal was zu essen bestellt für zuhause, ws war so viel los dad ich eine stunde rum stehen musste ohne das mir ein stuhl angeboten wurde auch nachdem ich gefragt habe, gaben sie mir keinen.

Nice Greek restaurant with all the variety you can expect from a Greek. Quality is high and prices are not high. Good relationship quality/price. But, in Freising there is another Greek that personally I prefer. It's a matter of quantity of the food. Delphi is fine, but if you are really hungry, the quantity of food on your plate might not be sufficient. Take this as an advice, and not as a discourage to not visit the restaurant. Far from...
