Mukkefuk is a favorite spot for lunch or dinner in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. They have three dining rooms so guests can spread out. There are a few seasonal salads with berries and nuts and fruit that stand out more. The pumpkin soup is quite legendary among locals. It is a mixture with pumpkin, sweet potato, banana, yogurt and crème. It’s wonderful on a cold winter night. They have homemade cakes and desserts on display that you can select for the end of your meal. The service is sometimes spread thin, but usually it isn’t any longer of a wait than in other places in town. I have tried to visit this restaurant twice over the past two years. First trip they randomly closed on the night we were going to go. Then this trip we tried one night and it was dead in there. It was 730 and the lady told us the kitchen was closed so we could only have a salad (it closes at 9). She was incredibly rude. We read rave reviews so decided to try again and tonight we showed up (after I had tried calling numerous times to make a reservation and the phone was left off the hook) the same woman told us they had no space and to go somewhere else.
