Probably the least pleasant experience we've had with guest houses in Germany. It had the feel of being a place that caters only to tourists who will likely never return, so little effort is made. || When we arrived, there was a problem with our rooms. Even though our booking was clearly for two rooms, they only had one for us. They did find a second room, but only after much hand-wringing and keeping us waiting for about an hour. || The rooms were clean, but they were not well-apportioned. The furniture was old and not in good shape and the beds, in particular, were awful. They were much smaller than they should have been and our "double" bed sagged so much in the middle, I had to sleep with as much of my body on the wooden bed frame. When we looked under the mattress, it looked like they had used chicken wire to hold the mattresses up. That is how old the supports were. || Another issue was noise, both from the street and from within the hotel itself. When you can hear your neighbor flush the toilet, you know the walls are thin. || The food at the restaurant was good, but there always seemed to a "problem" with the bill. Read moreVery rude and unwelcoming welcome from someone that we guessed was the owner. Above that, there was an air of alcohol around her and she was, not at all interested in us. |The room was small, tidy and ok but lacked the pillows and cushions you are used to from a hotel in this part of Germany. |The breakfast was a joke, almost everything was lacking, the coffee machine didn’t worked until someone noticed that water was lacking. Plates, cups and waste from finished guests who left was not removed. Not a very delightful experience. Other guests has noticed the same, but nothing has changed apparently. ||One light in the tunnel was the lady who worked as a waitress. Kind and pleasant. ||Do not...
