Café Lekkerey — Restaurant in Halle (Saale)

It's possible they were having a bad day when we went there, but we were a bit disappointed with our experience. Our hot drinks arrived on time and were good, but the tapas plate we ordered took nearly 45 minutes to arrive and was missing several components, so we ended up sending it back. One person in our group did not receive his food at all. We were told eventually that there was a problem with the oven, and that that was the reason for the delay. The waitress who served us was understanding and took the food off our bill and also offered us espressos to make up for the situation, which we appreciated as a gesture. Nevertheless, we had plans for the time following our visit to Cafe Lekkerey and the situation could have been avoided with direct communication with us about the problems in the kitchen, we would probably have just had our drinks and left, instead we felt a bit "trapped" as we were still waiting for our food. I went there spontaneously for a snack and coffee break until rain stops. The place is aesthetically amazing! Service were kind too ^^

Die Idee und der Service sind ja ganz nett, aber die Umsetzung dann doch eher schlecht. Der Kaffee war eine Katastrophe, grottenschlecht. Dort steht zwar eine beeindruckende Espressomaschine, aber lieber Besitzer, das reicht nicht. Man muss die auch bedienen können, sonst entsteht auf dem Espresso keine Crema und der Cortado (es gibt Bilder im Internet wie dieser auszusehen hat) ist eben kein Filterkaffee, dem man Sahne aus der Tube beisetzt. Nur gut, dass man sich im Kaffee- und Teehaus den Ärger darüber mit einem wirklich sehr, sehr guten Kaffee "runterspülen" konnte. Die angebotenen Bachwaren waren ebenso katastrophal, wahrscheinlich Aufbackware und falls vom Bäcker, müsste man dem die Lizenz entziehen. Der Rest der Zutaten auf dem Teller - der Ananas schmeckte schon alkoholisch - die Melonen nach gar nichts und alles Weitere war Supermarktware. Nichts Selbstgemachtes oder was einen von anderen Anbietern abhebt. Angesichts der Bewertungen im Netz muss man sich ernsthaft fragen, ob das der Standard in Halle ist!? Also doch wieder Leipzig.
