Perfect chocolate cake and terrible coffee...

Update (10.04.2021): We asked two guys at the counter if there is a flat white on the menu. They told us no, at the same time a barista said that it’s no problem to make it for us even if it’s not a regular order. This was very sweet of the barista. Additionally, one cappuccino was ordered. We ended up with “flat white”, the half-full cup (100 ml or less) of two pure espresso shots (which is correct) and no milk or milk foam, and cappuccino with milk and close to no coffee. I do not leave out the possibility of miscommunication, but we were frustrated with the order... As mentioned before, the chocolate cake was amazing,...

There are few things in life better than a great ice cream when it's 35 degrees outside, like today. Delikate's ice cream is top notch. They have 12 flavours out at all times and they vary throughout the day. Nothing silly with "funny" names, just straight forward good ice cream. I had chocolate, mango, stracciatella, cheesecake, raspberry, maracuja and mousse au chocolate and they've so far all been delicious. Portions are generous, scoops are between 1.40 and 2€, a few seats for outside, friendly service, nice area. Super...

Nachtrag: Nur einen Tag später schon wieder da gewesen und nichts bereut. Probiert haben wir Erdbeereis, Haselnusseis mit ganzen Haselnüssen, Zimteis und die mit 2 Euro teuerste Sorte Mousse au Chocolat. Einfach der Hammer! Bisher geschmacklich das beste Eis, das ich in Hamburg und Umgebung kenne.

Links ist das Café, rechts gibt’s Eis und da wir nur Eis gegessen haben, bezieht sich die Bewertung auch ausschließlich auf den rechten Eingang. Die Auswahl ist überschaubar und bei 1,50 Euro pro Kugel sind ist die Erwartungshaltung schon sehr hoch. Geschmack und Qualität sind aber so überzeugend, so gutes Eis hat nicht einmal ein durchschnittliches italienisches Eiscafé. Zartbitter schmeckt herrlich schokoladig und nicht zu süß, Banane ist der Hammer, kein bisschen künstlich. Joghurt ist auch super lecker, Mango schmeckt auch nach der Frucht und nicht nach Aroma aus der Pipette. Gerade die Milcheissorten schmecken nach viel Sahne und besten Zutaten, glatt und cremig ohne Eiskristalle. Daher ist der vergleichsweise hohe Preis dennoch angemessen, für die Qualität zahle ich gerne etwas mehr. Die Eiskugeln sind übrigens vom Durchmesser her...
