FISCHclub Blankenese — Restaurant in Hamburg

The view of the Elbe and the size of the apple cake are the best part. The rest is quite bad. We entered with our vaccination app and id in hand and waited for a waiter to notice us. Finally one did and told he would just clear a table for us. When he finished, we went to the assigned table, but were told to come back as we weren’t allowed there until he had checked our vaccination and id. Make up your mind or communicate better. As the restaurant didn’t have any decent beer (just krombacher), we opted for two slices of apple cake. It was decent, but pricey. When we went to pay, the waiter wouldn’t believe us when we told him we had two slices of cake and no coffee/tea. He got annoyed and went to check with his colleague. Food was cooked well and tasty. Great location on the Elbe. Rated OK because the restaurant say they accept Visa/MasterCard on a poster outside but when we came to pay the card machine did not accept any of our cards, this was the only restaurant in a whole week of Hamburg travel that had this issue. We had to go to an ATM to get cash and return to the restaurant later to pay. We got the impression that this was a known issue and needs to be fixed. At least give other options to pay e.g. bank transfer so that customers don’t have to go up and down the Treppenviertel region,...

Das war perfektes Essen in traumhafter Lage direkt an der Elbe Von den Vor- über die Hauptspeisen bis zum Dessert sehr, sehr gut Dazu den direkten Blick auf die Elbe und die vorbeifahrenden Schiffe und Boote. Einige Boote legen direkt an. Scholle und Zander top gebraten. Dazu beim Zander köstlicher, sautierter Spinat auf PetersilienwurzelCreme. Zur Scholle Kartoffel Sauerampfer Salat. Genauso gut wie der dazugehörige Gurkensalat. Die Scholle viel Fleisch. Eigentlich ausreichend, wenn die Vorspeisen nicht so gut wären. Pannfisch gut gebraten, die Soße extra. Toll. Vorspeisen: Riesengarnelen auf rote Beete Creme mit Fenchel-Birnensalat und Sushi Thunfischtatar auf Avokadocreme. Zum Abschluss haben wir den Apfelstrudel leider nicht mehr geschafft. Daher Cassis-Sorbet mit Prosecco. Geht immer.... Ein wunderschöner Nachmittag an einem perfekten Platz. Elbe, Sonne, Schiffe Man könnte lediglich einen halben Punkt Abzug für den Service vergeben. Leere Gläser bedeuten, man kann gerne mal fragen, ob noch etwas gewünscht wird. Die Dessertkarte brauchte lange, um unseren Platz zu finden. Richtig klasse, man kann auch die Außenplätze reservieren. Gibt es fast nirgends...
