Fritzis — Restaurant in Hamburg

Fantastic gem in Hamburg!

Incredibly tasty food, cooked to perfection and served beautifully. We were so caught up in the food that we forgot to take pictures, thus the photos show half-eaten plates already! Suffice to say that they were all very empty by the end.

The service is excellent, with all staff being very helpful and friendly. We never felt like we were being pressured, but there was always someone near when needed. Perfect balance!

The menu is straight forward (which is a good thing), without overwhelming one with too many choices. We tried virtually every dish, and it was all incredibly tasty! I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.

Give the cocktails a shot as well. Some inventive options, with very interesting flavours!

My daughter and I went back to Fritzlis and it was as good as I remembered when I left this review 18 months ago. Most definitely our destination of choice in Hamburg, apart from hot competition from its sister restaurant Krug!

Inventive food--delicious and not overwrought, just right--and attentive service. Favorite spot in Hamburg. If the goat cheese with orange humus and/or saltimbocca chicken with risotto are on the menu, don't pass them over. I wish this was on my block in Vienna.
