Unfortunately Hotel am Beatles-Platz did not necessarily meet our expectations. As beautiful as, modern, and sharp the hotel design is, I have learned that not all fancy designed properties may not prioritize the little things… none of which were addressed when we reported them after our first night. We spent 3 nights and items remained unresolved… shower doors not closing, shower ventilation not working, to be provided with linen that is hypoallergenic... all of which hotel staff confirm they are aware of these issues. Some sort of detergent choice of the hotel made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep unless I heavily sedated myself with allergy medication. Hypoallergenic should be a priority because it is environmentally friendly and customer comforting. We did find in our research that accommodations are not necessarily “cheap” in Germany. It’s primarily a result of covid, and the war in Ukraine what locals have explained to us. So it is difficult to find a hotel with affordable breakfast included. However, most properties we stayed in for our two weeks of travel included coffee and tea stations in the lobby… not at Hotel am Beatles-Platz. We were told the coffee and tea we need to pay for from their restaurant, which is the same self serve machine as most other hotels offered guests access to. There may have been a misunderstanding because they did not charge us when we checked out. There was a very cute candy station in the lobby, but if you’re diabetic… this isn’t helpful which I wonder again why they offer a fancy candy station over simple coffee/team service. The toiletries were nice. However, the soap dispensers were difficult to use… it was like begging for drops of soap. We were provided with a vanity kit that was empty from day one and I positioned it for the staff yo see, but ignited every day. The body loation was never filled as well. We understand these are small things and it’s possible small complaints that are not relevant for many people, but these are the little things we look for to make our stay comfortable. We have stayed at extremely small priorities that were over 100-200 years old, and these were never things we had to worry about. Separately and not an issue created by the hotel… We did pay a significant amount of money for this property and as much as some European counties are proud of their red light districts, this Beatles Platz neighborhood was quite dirty, unacceptably loud until 5 o’clock in the morning each night. In North America, you are discouraged from living or staying at hotels in these bar and strip club zones but the online advertising for Beatles Platz was quite alluring… and we saw after arriving, we would have never picked here based on how bar zones are viewed in North America. Teens and youth out until odd hours singing, screaming, breaking bottles making it difficult to sleep in addition to the already challenging environment we were trying to address with the hotel. Similarly, the dining I would discourage that is offered in the area. Endless bar food and even Turkish restaurants… but all “fast food”. Save your money and you will find much more nicer Turkish restaurants throughout Hamburg. I don’t hate this property Hotel am Beatles-Platz, I just would not recommend it if the small things are important for you. It was comical because we couldn’t not use the broken coat hook, but the hospitality staff would use it to hang the hotel cleaning information from… knowing the hook is broken. Ha!

Dafür bekommt man 4 Sterne? Das ist aber eigenartig… 😂

Check-In/bzw.
