Kleine Pause — Restaurant in Hamburg

"Kleine Pause" ("small break") is a very simple fast food restaurant with a typical ambiance which you'd expect from a place like this. The food is good but very standard; this isn't the place to go to if you're looking for the pinnacle of flavours.

"but why give 4 stars then?" Because this place excels at what it aims to be - being a simple, good fast food restaurant. The prices are at the lower end and the portion size is large. Service is usually excellent and special requests are typically granted - in our case that was adding some chili's from the Chili Cheese burger to the largest "Monster Burger" instead - and also add cheese to it.

Give it a shot for lunch when you're looking for some...

Terribly rude service.

Waited at the counter for a while even though no one was there and there were two staff at behind the counter. When he finally asked us for our order, he did not write anything down or even acknowledge our order, and then claimed we didn't order any fries when we asked where our two portions of fries were missing. THEN he tried to charge us extra for a portion of big curry wurst we definitely did not order, and started arguing with us that we did. Eventually he asked his colleague and she confirmed that we didn't order it and rudely gave me the cash back.

Foodwise, the fries were good but...
