Restaurant Leon — Restaurant in Hamburg

My favourite restaurant in Hamburg, and I endeavour to visit at least once every time I'm in town. The menu is quite extensive, there being a 'today' board with the day's specials chalked up, and the regular table menu. I like the whole experience of dining in this place, it's very cosy and after the 2nd or 3rd visit feels very much like coming home for dinner. The menu items are very well chosen, and definitely cooked to order (i.e. no pre-prepared microwaved items). The eating options are without fail interesting and imaginative, although I must say that, having been here a number of times now over the last 4 or 5 years, I have favourites which I always feel like eating. The service is exemplary, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food - well, I'm not Gordon Ramsay but I get to eat out a lot and this place would be my choice every time, given the option. You can probably tell by now that I like eating here. So be cool, be relaxed, talk to the staff and you will be treated like a family member and fed like a Lord....

Auf unserem Hamburg Trip im Juni 2015 sind wir auf der Suche nach einem italienischen Restaurant auf dieses gestoßen.

Das Restaurant ist sauber. Das Ambiente ist mediterran und das Platzangebot satt.

Zum Kellner : aufmerksam, lässt uns genug Zeit zum studieren der Karte. Uns wurde eine große Tafel mit den Tagesgerichten gezeigt. Die Getränke Bestellung ging rasch und es gab eine kleine Vorspeise die aus einem hausgemachten Dip, grünen und schwarzen Oliven und geröstetem Brot bestand.

Hauptgang Penne mit Spinat, Puten Streifen und Gorgonzola Band Nudeln mit Puten Streifen mit Champignons Rahm Sauce

Beides kam heiss an den Tisch, dazu auch frisch geriebener Parmesan. Das Essen war gut und behielt lange seine Temperatur.

Der Kellner war, wie bereits erwähnt aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Als unsere Getränke leer waren, wartete er einige Minuten und sprach uns dann auf neue an. Sehr schön. Zum Ende gab es einen leckeren Absacker!

Wir können das Restaurant ruhig empfehlen! 5 Sterne von uns Sehr nette Leute die von uns auch ein ordentliches Trinkgeld verdient haben...

A favourite among people in the area. Lots of regulars and always a good atmosphere thanks to very friendly staff and a good selection of meals. Their lunch menu is also great, and under/just around 10€! They’re very accommodating and very good to their regulars :) Always pleasant to come here even just for a beer in the summer, in the shade...
