Delicious Korean-Style Fried Chicken!

Location: in the middle of Heidelberg city centre, very close to the Alte Brücke and Universitätsplatz easy to get there with public transportation some seats inside with air conditioning and heating some seats outside in the shade

Personal Highlight: Boneless Fried Chicken in a Very Spicy Soy Sauce and Garlic Marinade with Rice and a Cold Bottle of Soju When you order chicken, the side dishes are included. It’s pickled radish / „chicken mu“ and either rice or fried potatoes. I‘ve been to other Korean fried chicken places where you needed to order that extra. So I think it’s wonderful that at Cocodec it’s already included!

Cocodec is THE place to go if you want to enjoy Korean fried chicken. I‘ve been there a couple of times now and their food has never disappointed me. I‘d even say it’s the best Korean fried chicken place in the Rhein-Neckar region. They have changed their ordering system, you‘ll receive a QR code via which you can order food and drinks. At first, I was sceptical, but in the end I was convinced that the digital ordering system works wonderfully fine. Kudos to the two super-friendly employees who quickly reacted to our extra wishes (getting us chopsticks and an extra large portion of „chicken mu“ / pickled radish).

i was here 2 days ago. and doesn't really get a nice experience with my friends. tho i read many said that the staffs are good cuz they speak english, i dont think that i could agree to as that is enough as a waitress.

when i came with my friends, the waitress doesn't really make us feel welcome nor even greet us. bunch of them just stand on the door blocking the small entrance doing nothing. Then they only give us menu and then go away without saying anything. when we pay, the waitress also didn't even say 'thank u', 'have a nice day' or anything, but just leave away like that. i think it was kinda rude.

we also saw that when a new cust came in and asked "where r the menu", a waitress didn't say anything n point the menu on table. (she should hv give the Cust rather than just pointing like that).

other thing is, there is this drink called "Dunggulle tee" and when ask about, what is that, she answered "it's a type of tea". I mean like, what kind of answer is that? i know that also my self. and also, cuz there are so many menu that "she said" is not available, (in which she doesn't even ask her colleagues who's busy gossiping behind) she answered "i think, there is no more" "i think it's only chocolate and milk", etc. which is quite unprofressional cuz she could just easily ask her friends, without saying her opinion just because she is lazy to ask.

Short: I can recommend this restaurant and I will go there again. It is very delicious and the portions are filling perfectly. We had a very nice evening. I can totally recommend this restaurant. The food is very yummy, I liked the spicy soy souce garlic chicken especially. One portion of half chicken will fill you perfectly even if you are very hungry. however always order the half chicken because with the whole you will not get rice with it, if you order the half chicken twice you have two portions of rice with it which saves you 3 euros. The bang for the buck is very good and the food is of very high quality and very delicious. The service was okay it was not good but also not bad. Only some forks and knifes where a bit dirty, that's why I just used the chopsticks you will get a clean pair of those. We where quite a big group so the food arrived in a distance of 20 minutes for our table which made it impossible to eat at the same time, but considering our group size and that it's rather a small kitchen and everything was freshly prepared I would not care about this too much. Also very nice is that you can get a water for 1 euro I really appreciate this from this restaurant for that 10 out of 10 really thank...
