Earth Bowls — Restaurant in Heidelberg

We were on a long driving trip and I specifically picked this place to eat after checking their website and Instagram account - we wanted something vegetarian and healthy.

We stopped at Heidelberg just to eat there.

Unfortunately there was no table available. Most of them had no drinks/food served and they just had people occupying it - which felt quite strange. I couldn’t identify the staff and nobody spoke to us, even when we went inside.

I cannot say about the food and it is acceptable that tables are unavailable, specially without previous reservation - but I was disappointed with the environment, it felt quite different from what I’ve seen online because of the occupied by people/ empty with food & drinks tables and lack of...

The unavailability of card payments deserves a deduction of a star. Had to trek 2km to an ATM just to pay for my meal. It's 2023 guys, come on! Other than that the meals are nice and prices are what you'd typically expect for a green establishment. I'll highly recommend their juices. I will say that their social media presence gives the impression of a much spacier establishment. Be prepared to have to queue for a while before you're seated if you come during busy hours, the number of available seats are very limited.

Healthy food, but seems to be poor quality ingredients. One of the worst falafel I ever had. Ordered a Sunny bowl and a Falafel bowl. Presentation was beautiful, portions were good. However, it appeared that all the ingredients were like the cheapest one could buy in a supermarket. Hummus, dips, falafel definitely did not seem to be freshly made or home made. The falafel actually tasted bad. Staff also did not seem to speak proper German, and when I paid, staff was not paying attention and was acting a bit rude in my opinion ignoring me when saying thank you and goodbye.
