I visited this coffee shop last weekend, overall the place was good and in the very center of the city, but for the center there weren’t many people and there was a place to sit.

Interior: in my opinion, too faded and minimalistic, perhaps I could add a few details. Also, please sign the price of the products being sold; not everyone is comfortable approaching and asking about the price of each individual product. Placing price tags under the goods may influence greater demand.

Service: we were greeted at the checkout by pleasant, smiling employees who quickly took our order and prepared it quickly. We took filter coffee and espresso. The establishment was also fairly clean, dirty dishes were quickly cleared away, creating extra space.

Coffee: the coffee itself is excellent, I liked the filter, but it was not possible to evaluate the preparation technique. It would also be great to supply water to the filter, this would allow you to better feel the grain, I think this is also an indicator of thoughtful service. In my opinion, the price tag for some beans is too high, provided that you have absolutely no options in choosing the brewing method.

The impressions are good, but there is still...

For more than 10 years, coffee nerd (respectively Thomas, the master mind behind the shop) has been pioneering specialty coffee in Germany. It‘s hard to find more places with such attention to detail and deep knowledge of coffee as such. In this place (now in its third incarnation) you’ll always be welcomed with the latest pieces of info surrounding coffee and new hits in the ever changing field of the beloved beans. If you crave the juiciest or funkiest or cleanest expressions of light roasted coffees roasted by the best roasters from around the world, this is the place for you. And even if you have no idea what specialty coffee is—if you keep an open mind and let yourself be surprised by what coffee can taste like, this coffee shop will most definitely be an incredible experience.

From coffee roaster to café, I can only say: thank you for countless amazing experiences and talks as well as mind bending beverages at coffee nerd and everything you have done for specialty coffee in Germany in the...

The coffee, cakes and atmosphere were great. Love the interior of cafe, very berlin clean minimalist look.

BUT the barista and cashier have some real attitude problem, especially the barista, which really affects the whole experience of having coffee there. Barista gave an unwilling face + annoyed tone reply while i asked for tap water, well if you dont want to be disturbed by customers requests, why dont you not serve tap water at all or just put it outside for everyone to take it themselves. Before we left, we helped to clear the plates and cups where we didnt see the containers for dirty dishes, and brought it to the counter and barista said in a very unfriendly annoyed tone “we have boxes there”, the “dankeschön” that came afterwards from her was in a mocking tone and the most unwilling thank you ive ever heard.

Seriously, can they learn basic...
