Masala Art — Restaurant in Heilbronn

I visited Masala Art for dinner on my first visit to Heilbronn. I happened to chance on it and after reading the excellent reviews, thought to try it out myself. The restaurant did not disappoint. I can safely say this is the best Indian restaurant i have visited in Germany, and an excellent Indian restaurant regardless. I had the lamb roganjosh, paired with the garlic naan. The roganjosh was flavourful, and the lamb was extremely tender. All the food tasted fresh and well prepared. I will be visiting again, and can wholeheartedly recommend the place to anybody looking for good and true Indian food.

The owner and chef, Vikram, was very friendly and his passion for what he does was clear in both, our conversation, and the food.

We got the creamy chicken soup, mango lassi and Gosht Kadahi with rice. We loved the chicken soup (would recommend) and mango lassi. The Lamb curry was a little sour/tomato-y for me, but overall good, meat was perfect and tender. Special mention for Klea, because the customer service was excellent! She engaged my friend and me both in German and English even though English would’ve sufficed. Thank you for a lovely experience. We also appreciate the thought and structure put into the menu for the glossary of terms to help non-Indians understand what the names mean. I see this restaurant is something unique and special. It is one authentic restaurant popping up in Heilbronn. In times were I see a super interesting development of the city over the last ten years this fits quite well. Many of the new kids on block are franchise restaurants owned by investors. Masala Art is a real authentic family business. Let's give them the chance to get there serving processes optimised and just go there and enjoy the very tasty indian cuisine.
