Ginko Restaurant — Restaurant in Kassel

Unfortunately, only 2 stars. I visited the restaurant twice, both times the same problems occurred. While the food was quite good (the one time I actually got my ordered food), the organization is a catastrophe. Both visits had a waiting time of over 1 hour, and the second time when asked they forgot to even deliver the order to the kitchen. This doesn't seem to be the problem of the servers, but the management and organization, because the staff seemed completely overwhelmed between take out orders (there was even a queue from the door to the register for take out food, not really relaxing when your table is along the queue) and regular customers on a completely normal weekday. We had to give up on our food after waiting for an hour and then learning that our order never even made it to the kitchen, as we were already starved when we arrived and my visitors had multiple hours of drive to get home, so we couldn't wait another hour for the organization to figure themselves out. The Italian restaurant on the other side of the crossroads served some unspectacular food in around 10 minutes, which was the better choice, unfortunately. If you want good food, have time to burn and like reminding the staff, you can go for it, otherwise better stay away until they figure out how they actually want to run...

First time we were there with my colleagues and expected more because we heard only perfect reviews. We booked a table on the 2nd floor/level 17:30, but the waiter got something mixed up and said, that he has information that we booked on 19;00 and he can't let us take place as we expected. And even email with the proof made no sense for him. The waiter brought me the wrong roll with the wrong number, but he wrote it down when we placed the order. I had to wait until they redo my order. 3.We didn't feel the atmosphere because from the start our dinner was spoiled by the service. They have cocktail card, but nobody suggested us it. We noticed it when already finished our meal. No takeaway cocktails as well.

Inattentiveness bordering on disrespect for the client, a beautiful picture, delicious food, but the service...

THE BEST SUSHI RESTAURANT I've ever been to in Germany (and I have been to many). I LOVED the fact they only have gluten free and lactose free options, it makes me feel very safe. The quality of the food is amazing, the variety also (not only the sushi, but also the soups and the Currys). The aesthetics of the dishes: wow!!! It was so beautiful I felt bad eating it (but I'm glad I did!). The attention was super friendly (they even let us take a baby of one of their beautiful plants!!). The environment is welcoming, very nice and smooth decoration, lots of wooden and green.

Recommended. Km definitely going back soon next time...
