From start to finish, this Italian pizzeria and restaurant delivered a flawless dining experience. The moment we walked in, despite not having a reservation (which I would strongly suggest), we were greeted with warm, attentive service that made us feel right at home.

The food? Simply incredible. Every dish was bursting with authentic Italian flavor — the pizza was perfectly crisped with a chewy, flavorful crust and the freshest toppings you could ask for, and so far it’s one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. You can tell the pizza maker takes real pride in his craft.

But the showstopper? The pistachio tiramisu. We’ve had tiramisu in Italy and nothing has ever come close to this. It was rich, creamy, and completely unforgettable.

Salento Pizzeria?? This is HANDS DOWN the BEST tasting Pizza I’ve had throughout Germany!

My Wife was born and raised in Italy, and is what I myself, and most other people would Consider a “Pizza Snob” if there were such a thing!

Pizzeria Salento makes pizzas that I felt accomplished and proud in bringing home after finding them online!

(They even made me pizza with PINEAPPLE- of course AFTER laughing at me)

My palette is sometimes not as traditional as my Italian Wife’s is, OK! Forgive me! ;-p

Salento made GREAT tasting pizza AND made my wife feel at home by mutually making fun of my “American tastes” in pizza. In Italian!

Very nice. The bruschetta was still warm from being roasted in the open brick oven. The tomatoes were brined beforehand to make them extremely juicy as well as delicately salty. Which allowed the entire dish to be well seasoned. The salmon penne pasta was a delicate blend of sauce, spinach, salmon with just a hint of garlic. The pizza special was nicely cooked in the open brick oven which had a nice hint of wood taste which helped to highlight the entire flavour and texture of the pizza.
