This restaurant is by far one of the best tourist based restaurants in Lundstuhl, Germany. From an America standpoint; the food was average, but not great. The bratwurst sausage plate was good, but not great . Good delicate flavor of grilled sausage and spices with an okay sauerkraut (Onion looking pieces). The view from the restaurant was amazing, would definitely recommend eating on the outside tables. Once you are ready to order, ensure you let the waiter/waitress know because the majority of the time they are busy doing... waiter or waitress things. I recommend downloading the Google Translator App as well. All you have to do is open the app, point to the menu and it translates the words to any language of your choosing. It’s definitely not as good as learning German, but a quick fix that...

Wonderful place to eat once you arrive to it. The road up is quite small and one car at some points but there are waking paths all over that one could take. The restaurant is right beside the castle ruins and the scenery is beautiful. The food was wonderful and filling. Just be warned that sausage salads are a cold meal, my wife didn't expect that. The service was good albeit slow.. very slow the day we went, but I really do think that was because there was only server and she was really working it.

They have seating both inside and outside and the weather was wonderful the day we went for outside eating. They're dog friendly. They only except cash, no cards. Good drink selections.

Some of my party who will be remaining in the area longer than I were already making plans on...

Quaint little place at the top of the hill by the Burg-Nanstein Castle. There's seating inside & outside with a fabulous view overlooking Landstuhl. Most of the tables outside are covered from the sun, but it can be warm! We had a lovely breeze today & it was so beautiful. The food was great for our first true German meal - there's definitely a difference between German bratwurst & American tho! Our waitress was not your warm & fuzzy type for sure, but I've had worse so there's that. It's a good spot to check out - don't be shocked by the road entrance that you turn on to start your way up the hill on. It doesn't even look like it goes anywhere. You can even see & hear the planes flying training flights at...

Not bad. Nice atmosphere and view and decent food. Just nothing mindblowing. Worth it for the atmosphere and trails. Can go take a nice hike and end the day with a cold beer. 👌🍻 ▪️ What I loved: Funny enough, I love their small side salad. 😆 ▪️ Size: on the smaller side ▪️ Outdoor seating: yes ▪️ Service: generic European service ▪️ Price: affordable ▪️ Scenic view: yes ▪️ Wait time: none when we went, but I'm sure if they get busy it would be hard to find seating. If you're a smaller party you may have to share the picnic tables. ▪️ Reservations: unsure ▪️ Entertaiment: none at the time ▪️ Specials: yes, they had specials on a board I believe ▪️Dogs allowed: outdoors yes, indoors I don't know
