Brick's der Cocktail — Restaurant in Leipzig

We were on a companytrip and had an amazing time here during the first night in Leipzig. Cocktails were good, music was very good. We left with a 250€ bill, and we decided to go back there with more people than sunday on our last night. It clearly depends on who’s serving that night, because one of the two guys wasnt happy at all when we came in. Really did everything in its way to make it clear we were not welcome. When we decided to go for another round of cocktails - the bartender must have misheard what we said because he thought we asked to pay for 7 cocktails (even though we had 9, so i don’t know why he only accounted us for 7) but we really asked for 7 more. He refused to serve us so we had a bit of a discussion at the bar, and we decided to leave it before it got to heated. We -obviously- payed for the 2 cocktails we still had to pay for and left. We won’t come back here again - that bartender cost you a lot turnover that night because we were there with 10 people and a company expense card. Might have been your best...

Ok for a quick drink. Not particularly the coolest 80's bar in town, but not entirely bad. Here are my ups and downs:

Conns:

The playlist was mostly Prince and really bad 70s/80's pop - the kind your weird aunt would listen to (there are waaay better 80's hits my friend!!!).

The music volume was extremely low for a cocktail bar. Songs were not normalized, so they would constantly adjust the volume manually to the point we felt more in a living room, rather than a bar.

Pros:

-The waiter was the best, always in a good mood and making sure our glasses were always filled.

Great selection of cocktails!!. Lots!!.

It is allowed to smoke inside!!!! (yess).

Sehr merkwürdige Geschäftspolitik. Halber Laden ist leer und es wird mit Polizei gedroht, wenn man nicht sofort den Laden verlässt. Dabei ging es um eine Gruppe von 10 Personen, die nüchtern gg. 1 Uhr um Einlass gebeten hat. Geöffnet bis 5 Uhr. Katastrophe...unbedingt meiden... so etwas kann man definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen.

Nachtrag: Zunächst erstmal vielen Dank für Deine Antwort. Es wäre schön gewesen, diese erklärenden Worte auch vor Ort zu hören. Allerdings hatten wir unabhängig davon mehrfach darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass wir uns gern aufteilen. 4 Leute an den besagten Tisch und der Rest geht an die Bar direkt neben dem Tisch, an der auf der Seite alle Sitzplätze frei waren. Genau 24 Std. vorher haben wir mit gleicher Gruppengröße genau diese Sitzverteilung gehabt und es war kein Problem für Kellner oder Gäste die Toilette zu erreichen. Hätte es keine Plätze gegeben, dann hätten wir das selber gesehen und wären sofort gegangen. Nachdem mit Polizei gedroht wurde, nur weil niemand verstanden hat, wo das Problem liegt und dann hinter uns die Außentür abgeschlossen (!!!) und die Außenbeleuchtung abgeschaltet wurde, frage ich mich, wie das so mit dem Brandschutz zu vereinbaren ist...?? Als anwesender Gast hätte ich mich sicher sehr wohl gefühlt, eingeschlossen zu werden... Aber belassen wir es dabei. Am ersten Abend hatten wir einen "entspannten Besuch" bei Euch und wollten daher nochmals bei Euch einkehren.
