Vinayaga is a true hidden gem in Ludwigsburg, offering an authentic and comforting journey through Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a warm and elegant atmosphere—tasteful décor, cozy seating, and a peaceful vibe that sets the stage for a relaxed dining experience.
The menu is diverse and well-curated, featuring everything from fragrant curries and sizzling tandoori dishes to hearty vegetarian options and Sri Lankan specialties. Every dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. Personal favorites include the Chicken Vindaloo, which offers just the right amount of heat, and the vegetarian thali, which provides a perfect sampler of textures and spices.
Portions are generous, and the prices are very fair—especially the lunch buffet, which offers excellent value without compromising on quality. Service is attentive, friendly, and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience.
Whether you're a longtime fan of South Asian cuisine or new to it, Vinayaga delivers both authenticity and comfort. It’s an ideal spot for a quiet dinner, a casual lunch, or a special occasion. Highly recommended for anyone craving bold, delicious flavors in a...
Read moreWe had a club event in the Vinayaga restaurant which warranted the whole restaurant to be closed to accomodate the ~80 people that attended. There spread was tantilizing - Karahi Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, Ceylonese Lamb curry, rice, naan, papadam and Dhal. When you as a restaurant have experience with cooking for 2 - 4, jumping to 80 is not an easy feat, but this team did an outstanding job!
Things to note: Generous portions of Paneer in the dishes - which is obvious and apparent when you go to other restaurants. This dish was tasty and the jumbo sized paneer helped. My roots are in Sri Lanka, so the Ceylonese lamb curry hit home for me.
Overall tasty and attentive staff. The area where we were seated (winter garden) was nice and bright, the inside a little more cosy.
Thank you for the experience - we...
Read moreGood stuff here in a smooth setting with a truly authentic Ceylon kitchen to boot! The cooking style alone makes this restaurant a recommended visit, as it's highly improbable you can find a similar place even outside of Ludwigsburg. Beyond that, the food itself is very tasty and diverse. I've had both a very spicy meal, and on my second visit, enjoyed a mild yellow pea curry that was very different but at least as tasty!
Many vegan and vegetarian options - much like the level of heat, these are clearly marked - and a variety of menus available as well. There's an inside garden for the hot summer days and the staff is highly professional. Give it a try if you want something different, or simply, you want...
