ALEX Magdeburg — Restaurant in Magdeburg

I have been to Alex many times and I have tried many dishes and beverages. I’ve got to say, the last time was the most pleasant one because of Okan! He helped us a lot with the food due to restrictions I have with some ingredients, he was a joyful person and that’s a must have for a service in my humble opinion!

This review is dedicated to Okan! Okan, sorry for this late review (one month later than I promised) A dinosaur stole my phone and I had to chase him down until I get it back! Thankfully, today was that day! 💪🏼 Or, I work 6 days a week and I need a day of recovery and that day I don’t use the phone at all. You can decide which story is more convincing to you 😅

Service was very nice and people were quick, when a larger group appeared it took longer, but they have really tried their best and we're extremely friendly. Recommended for a quick lunch or brunch on a sunny day. Beautiful view of the fountain. I have ordered the burger and sadly, it did not meet my price/performance expectance. The salad was fresh, the bun was alright (although a proper brioche bun would have been better) but the patty was outrageous. It was your classic convenience patty, up selled as a premium burger. For the price of 15,50 EUR (June 2024) I have expected more. The lemonade is tasty but not a real lemonade, rather water with some kind of sirups instead of juices (D'arbo?). For a burger I would definitely recommend...

I kept forgetting to leave a review, but better late than never. We visited on Valentine’s Day — the place was beautifully decorated, really lovely, and the atmosphere was just right. However, we waited over an hour for our order. There were free tables available upstairs, and when I asked the staff if we could move, I initially received a positive response. But after they realized we had already placed our order, we were refused. I understand the policy of not moving guests after ordering, and I have no complaints about that.
