I had a beef noodle salad, the beef was cold, like coming straight from the refridgerator. It also tasted like it was not very fresh, like the beef was not cokked today. The noodles was greasy and lackning of flavour and the pickles where too sweet, and not sour. And my friend gad a tom soup with all the noodles stickning together in a big lump. I am very sorry for a harsh review, but probably there are some things you need to look over in the kitchen, because the quality of food is lackning. Hope you guys figure out soon

Dear restaurant

The pickled radish and carrot, lacked acidity, as one would expect from a pickled vegetable. It was very sugary. I comment on this since a pickled vegetable requires the right amount of acidity to remain pickled. Also it was a too sweet flavour.

Concerning the nuoc mam sauce it lacked flavour, making the whole salad very bland. And that in a combination to the fat was very unpleasant.

Regarding the refridgerated meat, I question its freshness, even before cooking sice it tasted too old.

We ate dinner in the restaurant so the lump of noodles my friend had for her bun bo hue, I would argue is for a restaurant of your ambition lackning. The broth was also very watery.

I am very sorry to give you this critique, but I hope it will help you to look over what is not living up to standard. And I would hope you would like to take that seriously.

Really great food and service. Highly recommend! I phoned a large takeaway order in (over 10 sandwiches and a couple orders of summer roles) and it was ready in well under 30 minutes. Very impressive for a lunch hour order. Not only that, but the service was very friendly. Card payments are accepted, and finding parking wasn't too overly difficult (street parking. I parked a block away and walked, so not bad). When I went to pick up the order I noticed that the ambiance is very warm and inviting. The place is impeccably clean, and I noticed that there were reusable metal straws on the tables, as well as reusable chopsticks so it seems this joint is doing its part for sustainability (which I really appreciate). I'll be going back to try their other dishes and try a dining in experience. We ordered the BBQ pork Banh Mi, Caramelized Chicken Banh Mi, chicken summer roles, and tofu summer rolls. Everything was DELICIOUS, warm (drove it about 10 minutes away to my office), and the bread was nice a crusty with a good chew on the inside. Can't wait to try an...

Als Kunde der ersten Stunde habe ich seit Eröffnung unzählige Male hier gegessen. Egal ob zum Mitnehmen oder vor Ort, Frühlings- oder Sommerrollen, Banh Mi, Pho, Bun Bo Nam Bo, Glasnudelsalat oder was auch immer - das Team hat es geschafft einen Gastrobetrieb auf die Beine zu stellen, der aus der Mainzer Kulinarik nicht mehr wegzudenken isst. Subjektiv empfunden würde ich sagen, dass man hier den perfekten Spagat aus sophisticated street food und vietnamesischer fusion cuisine bekommt. Ich vermeide bewusst das Wort “authentisch”, weil das im Volksmund inflationär und sehr subjektiv gebraucht wird. Unterm Strich schmeckt das Essen in 99% der Fälle großartig, und die Preise haben sich in den letzten Jahren trotz gestiegener Kosten, Personalmangels und Inflation moderat entwickelt. Der Aufschlag der bei Lieferando erhoben wird ist in meinen Augen hoch, aber nachvollziehbar - die große Beliebtheit des Restaurants sorgt zu den Stoßzeiten auch ohne die Lieferanfragen für Auslastung in der Küche. Nach meiner Erfahrung sind lediglich die Frühlingsrollen hit or miss und waren gefühlt früher besser. Und ich kann bis heute nicht verstehen, warum das BBQ-Pork-Baguette durch das Lemongrass Pork ersetzt wurde - Insider munkeln es hätte nicht so viele Fans gegeben.

Die Positionierung des Essens als mix zwischen Restaurant und Street Food spiegelt sich auch im innen- und Aussenbereich wieder: die Tische und Stühle laden nicht zum langen verweilen ein - manche würden das negativ bewerten, ich sehe das neutral. Wartezeiten sind zu Stoßzeiten im Bereich 25-30 Minuten. Wenn man unmittelbar um 12 oder außerhalb der Lunch / Dinner-Zeiten bestellt geht’s auch mal deutlich schneller.

Das personal ist IMMER enorm freundlich und Word dem Namen des Restaurants gerecht. Wenn einen der Chef irgendwo in der Stadt sieht wird man freundlich gegrüßt. Meine Empfehlung: wenn ihr mit dem Erlebnis unzufrieden seid, kommt an einem anderen Tag wieder. Ihr habt wahrscheinlich nur mal einen der ganz wenigen schlechten Tage erwischt....
