Thai 4 You — Restaurant in Mannheim

I was looking for a thai restaurant in Mannheim and found this on google. Due to it's very good reviews, my husband and I thought we should try it. The place is okay, simply decorated and bare. There were a handful of customers eating but it took a lot of time before they took our order because all of a sudden, a flow of people came in claiming their take out orders. Interestingly, there was ONLY one woman working there, the rest were cooks. She was overwhelmed by what's all that's happening (preparing take out orders, giving out orders, taking orders, ...), so by the time she took our orders, 30 minutes had gone by (yeah we waited that long just to make an order!). Then another 30 or more minutes before our food came. Everything was SOOOOOOOOO slow and inefficient. If I weren't craving thai food that day, we would have left already. The wait was worth it though, the food was really good, just like in Thailand. Now the question is, will I go back and eat there? NO. The service was bad. The woman who was there was not friendly nor unfriendly, she was just "meh", no emotions whatsoever. The food was great but the whole experience made it unenjoyable. Maybe next time we will just order a take out - an hour in advance just in case it takes a long time again....

This is one of the best spots in Mannheim for truly authentic and fresh Thai food. The owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and genuinely attentive to customer satisfaction, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere.

I had the Jungle Curry, and it was absolutely outstanding—rich in flavor and clearly made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The taste was remarkably close to homemade Thai cooking, which is rare to find.

Portion sizes are moderate, and while the prices are slightly on the higher side considering the casual “Imbiss” setting, the quality of the food more than justifies it. I keep coming back simply because the food tastes like a vacation...

Food was amazing! The chicken satay was incredible and pad Thai was pretty great too. The hours of operation were not correct on Google so I was stuck waiting outside with my kids while the staff were on break. When I did get to order I was told it would be a 30 minute wait. It took a long time but the food was worth it. My biggest issue was it was not stroller friendly so I had to push my double twin stroller up two stairs. And leaving, there was a staff member standing just outside but did not seem to care at all to help me, instead I was struggling to open the door and push the stroller down stairs at the same time.
