Seit Eröffnung stehen immer wieder Ladenflächen leer, andere Läden haben in einer Stadt wie Mannheim Schwierigkeiten, ihre Zielgruppe zu finden. Der Versuch, die Mall mit der Hereinnahme eines viel zu kleinen und entsprechend schlecht sortierten Media Markts aufzuwerten, ist angesichts des Internets zum Scheitern verurteilt. Immerhin bemühen sich die Angestellten der Läden, die noch da sind, sehr um ihre Kunden. Gut so, denn noch vor wenigen Jahren wurden Besucher, die die vielen leeren Sitzplätze nutzten, von livrierten Herren vertrieben, wenn sie nichts im den Schnellrestaurants bestellt hatten. Die meisten davon gibt es nun nicht mehr, und die Livrees sind ebenfalls verschwunden. Das Ziel, ein Einkaufszentrum für den gehobenen Mannheimer zu sein, wurde offenbar aufgegeben. Gut so. Denn Mannheim ist einfach keine gehobene Stadt. Schlechte Erfahrungen gibt es dennoch hier und da. Alles in allem also leider kein lohnendes Ziel.

Not really a mall compared to that of the Rhein Gallery (LU) or Rhein Neckar Zentrum (Viernheim) because it's pretty small, but it is a good alternative. It has all the shops I like (S. Oliver, Mac Cosmetics) and need (Seidensticker for work blouses, Dielmann for kids shoes, DM, Rewe, plus a few new boutiques. Sure, there's a few high segment shops that aim to compete with Engelhorn and P&C. It's schizophrenic that a Primark is also housed here, but compared to other Primark's this one is actually very inviting!

There's plenty of food options: a food court and several restaurants, plus cafés and ice cream shop. Must admit, I visit Cafe Brue regularly. :-)

Parking garage is super modern, well lit and spaces easy to find and WIDE! Yeah, parking is expensive, but I gladly pay for safety and comfort. Sadly, only way I know to get in is via the Fressgasse, a one lane road, super congested thruway in central Mannheim. Ample bicycle parking...

It's a shopping mall that opened a year ago. It's situated in the centre of mannheim. There's a parking garage that offers plenty of parking space and the pricing is reasonable. The unique thing about this mall is that there are shops inside you normally don't find that often. That's about it though. The main reason it's popular is because of primark and Zara Home. The other thing is that they're trying to be hipster and ultra modern but it's kind of a fail in my opinion. The design of the mall is nice though. It's sepreated but connected through a tunnel inside the mall. This mall wasn't really necessary and in terms of pricing it is more on the expensive side. Nice and modern. A little bit pricey but ok. The mac store experience was a disaster though. The lady didn’t want to sell us anything because my sister-in-law spoke in french, when she heard her she raised a little bit her voice and said in german she couldn’t sell us anything. It’s not because someone speak in french that we live in France. Maybe I am a french who works in Germany, how can she refuse me to buy anything ?
