Cedar Lounge — Restaurant in Munich

Cedar Lounge is easily one of my favorite Lebanese restaurants in Munich – and yes, it’s absolutely worth the trip out to Rosenkavalierplatz. The homemade lemon-mint lemonade alone is reason enough to visit: refreshingly tangy, perfectly balanced, and incredibly addictive.

The mezze starters are generous, flavorful, and remind me of the dishes I came to love during my travels to Beirut and Byblos. A personal favorite is the Batata Harra – potatoe cubes with chili, garlic, oil, and fresh coriander. Here’s a little insider tip: order a side of Toum (garlic cream). It’s the perfect match not just for the Batata Harra, but also for the falafel.

Classics like hummus, moutabal, fattoush, and halloumi are all excellent – freshly made, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented.

When it comes to mains, you really can’t go wrong. We usually go for the Mixed Grill, which is consistently juicy and full of flavor – and yes, it comes with another helping of that irresistible Toum.

In the warmer months, the terrace is a lovely place to relax. Despite being next to a hotel, the lush greenery creates a cozy, almost Mediterranean feel. One special touch: the wide wicker chairs with reclining backs, reminiscent of business class airline seats. You can lean back comfortably, enjoy a shisha, and take in the clear night sky.

Had a very nice meal here while staying at a nearby hotel. The atmosphere is simply wonderful - it has a beautiful, lovely interior that was quiet on a Saturday evening. The food is not inexpensive, but I felt it was fair for the quality of the food. It was 70 euros for 2 of us with no alcohol. Service was quite nice - they certainly will not rush you nor do they come to the table frequently, but I always felt our server looked and made eye contact when he passed by to ensure we did not need anything. Although the food quality was good, I give it two stars because of the bad behaviour of one of the waiters and the high prices. They also brought me two different appetisers. I didn't order them, and I thought they were side dishes of the main food, but they charged me for those in the end.

They also want the tip from you as your duty, not for their excellent service...
