Coconut Bowl — Restaurant in Munich

The food is mediocre at best, imho. The place looks quite nice, so we gave it a shot. However the food was relatively plain in taste and did not reach the quality of the average Vietnamese restaurant I am used to. (and I eat a lot of it) Sauces were off and ingredients that we know from others were missing, throughout every dish we ordered from simple starters like summer rolls to pho and rice noodle dishes - all were lacking something in taste aka ingredients. The service was very friendly but overall I would not return.

Update: the restaurant actively requests deletions of bad reviews, even though I confirmed I was a real guest there even...

The food was absolutely delicious! The portions were adequate, full of vegetables, and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and also clarified some questions related to the dishes. We ordered gyozas for starters, duck with tamarind sauce, and meat with vegetables for main courses. For dessert, we ordered Bánh Cam, which had a delightful flavor. We will definitely be returning! Das Coconut Bowl Restaurant ist ein Ort, der durchweg begeistert und immer wieder aufs Neue beeindruckt.
