Cooperativa — Restaurant in Munich

I wanted this to be good... Our first night in Munich in nearly 30 years. Wandering the area with no plan, came across Coopertiva. Quick check online gave it rave reviews. It was a Friday night, the place was packed. Normally that would be a good sign. Bartender was very friendly, it will be 10 minutes, he says. We decided to wait...30 minutes later we finally get a table...30 more minutes I get up to ask for a menu. They're busy, I say. 10 minutes after we sit down a table of 4 is seated, they immediately have drinks and order taken. Their meal is served shortly after. Finally waitress gets our order. The pasta special, thank you. We wait. Still waiting. I'm sorry, she says, kitchen is very busy. I can see the kitchen from my seat. They are slammed but plates keep coming out. Not ours. Table of 4 finishes their meal and leaves. Another table of 2 comes in an hour after we are seated. I think to myself, good luck getting any food. It's now been over an hour... The 2 guys that just came in GET THEIR FREAKING MEAL and we're STILL waiting. It's after 10pm, we got there at 8 and we can't get the pasta special that I've seen a dozen plates go out of the kitchen from my vantage point. This is totally unacceptable. I felt insulted and disrespected. We finally just got up and left. No one even noticed. I have NEVER done that before. 💶 Price/Value: probably among the most affordable good dinner/lunch places you can have in central Munich. Large portions, and (for Munich) pretty low pricing. Same (although not as extreme) for the drinks.

🕯️Ambience/Athmosphere: cosy, but usually crowded place, pretty loud for that reason. Depending on day and time there might be better venues for a more conversation-focused meet up. Also reception/internet is quite bad inside. Usually students or other young crowd.

🧀 Food: usually not too sophisticated but quite divers range of Mediterranean-ish dishes. They are always well prepared though.

🍷Drinks: a common selection of beers and wines. Above average selection of cocktails, but not that special in the end.

🗣️ Staff: friendly staff, but a little busy during more crowded times of the day.

Good spot if you're hungry, and don't want to spend lots of money on a small...

Go there often and normally all is good. But this last time they forgot my dish and served the rest of the table. That was fine and the waiters were really sorry so it was fine. No issue. But then food was actually not what I ordered and was quite rushed and not the same as usual. But worst was when paying that the lady inside asked if I did not want to give tip to which I said no due to the issues and then she did not talk to me anymore.

We all make mistakes and was all fine until she asks for tip and since I do not give does not talk with me anymore. Not a great service....

If would not have been the lady on the cashier would have been a 4-5 stars even with the mistake as I know they normally do not do it and the waiters were...
