Read moreThese are what we tourists call "Highway Robbers". Let me explain. We visited the restaurant and ordered three mains - Chicken Karahi, Palak Paneer and Butter Chicken, water and naan/roti. The bill was 97 Euros. No appetizers, no desserts. We thought it's expensive but nice taste. The next day we asked them to prepare us an Omelette for 10 eggs plus one main of Chicken Karahi and usual naan/roti and water, and 6 pieces of pea sized ghulab jamans which were like half a bite. The bill was 135 Euros - and no receipts, to be paid in cash as the omelettes were off the menu. I leave it to you to judge, but unless the eggs are a 100 euros a dozen in Munich, we felt this was a rip off. They knew we were tourists and were not going to visit again so they charged whatever they wanted to.
As comparison - at Taj Restaurant in Messestad we had three mains, 2 chicken which came with two large portions of rice, multiple naan and roti bill was 50 Euros.
At Contidiano in Gartnerplatz we had breakfast - three plates of bread topped with smoked Salmon and two fried eggs each, two Belgian waffles, one pancake tower with fruits, 6 drinks and the bill was 91 Euros.

Read moreWe were robbed!... €135 for one main dish, 4 portions eggs omelette, 3 water bottles, hopeless dessert (gulab jaman) and 6 naans. The most expensive food we ate in Munich. We searched on Google looking for halal food and this place came up. We were staying nearby so thought to give it a try. We ordered 4 main dishes and paid 95 €, we wanted to pay by card but the lady said " oh sorry but please pay in cash as I have entered cash payment in our system and I would have to make a change so better pay in cash". We said okay and paid in cash but she didn't give us receipt. The food tasted good though so after a couple of days we went again and this time they literally robbed us. A massive 135€ for 1 main dish and 4 portions of vegetable omelette. She again asked us to pay in cash, we paid but again no receipt. By not providing their customer with receipts, they are simply evading taxes which is extremely unethical. Beware, don't be fooled by some hundred dishes on the menu book (yes book) that even 5 star hotel restaurants can't possibly offer as many dishes😅 and please insist on...
