Hai Seafood Izakaya Munich — Restaurant in Munich

Went for the hipe, stayed for the excellent service and warm atmosphere. Location is central, street parking is avaible, still prepare to search for a space up to 10 minutes. The highlight of the night was the nice and professional servers who looked after us in a non bothering, still communicative and respectfull way. The Wagyu onigiri was interesting, the tik tok famous seafood boil was honestly a bit underwhelming, we ordered the biggest portion (XXL for 50€) for a party of two with 2 portions of rice and left contemplating if we should hit up a Mcdonalds on the way home. Same with the desserts, tasteful but overpriced for the small portion sizes (1 Scoop of ice-cream and a half slice of chessecake). Since it's the only seafood boil/platter in the Munich area it's worth a try if you are into this kind of quisine. The Cocktail were tasty...

Had lunch there today, and went with Thai ramen and a lemonade with cumquat.

Service was great, they accepted cards, the food was delicious.

One thing I did not quite expect is the coriander that was supposed to end up in the soup based on the menu, turning into green onion without anyone saying anything - it might be a problem for people with allergies or stronger preferences, so maybe clarify that when ordering, if it is something you find important.

But, as for me, it did not prevent me from totally enjoying my lunch break and the dish - it was great from the noodles to the seafood, and the lemonade had this amazing smell of the clementines that, weirdly, only cumquat can convey. So definitely 5 stars fully deserved.

I recently visited Hai Seafood and overall, it left a positive impression. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff provided excellent service. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and well thought out.

That being said, my own order – the seafood mix – was disappointing. While the plate looked stunning, the portion was not satisfying. The squid was rubbery, and the dish was overwhelmed with garlic, which made it hard to enjoy.

On the other hand, my wife’s gyoza was delicious, and our friend’s sashimi was also fresh and tasty.
