Il Grappolo — Restaurant in Munich

This restaurant is the to-go place among my colleagues at LMU (professors, postdocs, etc.), and it's for a reason: good food, location is top, and the atmosphere is fantastic. We go at least once a week on average and it's never let me down. I personally like that they have a rotating menu, so you know if you go you'd have different options pretry much every time.

Some of my colleagues don't like that the proportions are rather small (considering the price). While this is true, I am not at odds with that because then it means you can still work afterwards, but this wouldn't be a place I'd suggest if you're really hungry.

The staff is amicable and nice without being too intrusive, which is always a good thing. The venue is very nice and cozy, the only thing to keep on mind is that you have to reserve a table otherwise you might...

One of a kind of an authentic Italian restaurant, easy to tell, no pizza on the menu. It was a spontaneous decision to visit this place and oh boy I was not disappointed at all.

The owner recommend a really bottle of wine. All the dishes from appetizers to main dishes are just on point. I personally had shrimp salad and the shrimp is really fresh (I grew up on an island from a South East Asian region). Everything is just on point with what I would expect a legit Italian...

My real score to this restaurant is 4.5. Pork cutlet was cooked beautifully. Though some part of meat, particularly near the bone area, is slightly uncooked, it is acceptable.
