My Stolz The Smash Burger Boss Neuhausen — Restaurant in Munich

Have only been here once and not during peak hours, but the service was exceptional. The food was of good quality and portions quite large. The drinks were well-poured and generous. Quite possibly the best fries / pommes in town with their "twister" curly fries...reminiscent of the seasoned fries from "Popeye's" in the states. I do not think they make the best burgers in town...but they are very good, and they do offer an incredible selection from beef to bison, ostrich, kangaroo, bean and vegan. The ingredients (from bread to vegetables and add-ons to meat) are fresh and well-prepared. They even offer a choice of bacon (beef, pork and smoked). The menu is expansive and the options very creative. IMO they could become a contender for best burgers in town with two small changes: better cheddar (they use something tasting like "American singles" and more flame-grilled / charred flavor (either from changing the cooking technique or seasoning). I look forward to trying some of their other burgers to get a more complete view. The great youthful ambiance and music selection are also worth mentioning. Good for family and also for pre or post clubbing.

I ordered a Bison Burger, and I gotta say, that this was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life (for my liking), it was just fantastic.

I'm probably being a bit harsh on the service, because we we're just pointed out to get a seat, and not greeted as well as in other places, so I gotta be fair and honest about it. But there was only one person attending, and the restaurant was completely empty when we got there.

But, this is definetely a place I will come back for...

Freitag, früher Abend. Nur sehr wenige Plätze sind belegt. Wir kommem zu zweit mit größerem Hund, der positiv aufgenommen wird. Das Lokal bietet einige Tische in verschiedenen Größen. Die Einrichtung ist eher einfach und wenig stylisch mit großen Bildern von amerikanischen Südstaaten-Schauspielern und -Musikern. Mit einem Hauch Mexikaner. Die Musik lauter Latino. Der Kellner ein freundlicher Italiener. Das Essen ist lecker, aber mit STOLZem Preis. Burger ab 20 Euro - ohne Beilage! Exotische Fleischarten „leider vergriffen“. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut. Das Bison (+5,-) ließ sich nicht vom Rind unterscheiden. Mein großer Lieblingsburger bei McD schmeckt genauso (gut), ist aber zugegeben eine Spur kleiner. Für mich wars hier zu viel. Die zweite Hälfte konnte ich gut einpacken. Denn: Trotz des stolzen Preises wird hier im Basket serviert und mit Fingern gegessen. Zwei Hälften Burger in Papier wie zwei Döner. Das hatte ich nicht erwartet. Ich hatte mich - auch in Anbetracht des Preises - auf ein romantisches Abendessen gefreut. Nicht dramatisch, aber Ambiente/Fingerfood und Preislage passen für mich hier nicht zusammen. 70,- für zwei Burger mit Pommes und zwei Gläser Wein. Nach einer Stunde waren wir...
