On the first evening I had the lamb chops, beans with the most amazing bacon and the most wonderful fried potatoes we have ever had. So the second night ....I had it again! Located just across our hotel in Munich, this place was a pleasant find, and we enjoyed eating here so much that we ate here twice during our 3 day stay in Munich. The dishes were flavorful and came in generous portions. There was a lot to choose from, but we enjoyed the lamb the most. You can also try the hausteller if you're unsure of what to eat. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp in München!

Das Restaurant Heimgarten hat mich mit seinem gemütlichen, fast schon nostalgischen Ambiente sofort abgeholt – liebevoll dekoriert, mit kleinen Details, die einem das Gefühl geben, willkommen zu sein. Die Einrichtung ist charmant traditionell, dabei aber nicht altbacken – einfach ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen.

Zum Essen: Wir hatten einen frischen, gemischten Salat zur Vorspeise, gefolgt von zwei Varianten des Hacksteaks – eines davon mit Schafskäse gefüllt. Beide waren hervorragend gewürzt und saftig. Dazu gab es knusprige Pommes, würzigen Djuvec-Reis und wunderbar gegrilltes Gemüse. Die Portionen sind groß, aber so lecker, dass nichts übrig bleibt! Ein frisch gezapftes Ayinger Bier rundete das Ganze perfekt ab – und als kleine Aufmerksamkeit gab es zum Schluss noch einen typisch dalmatinischen Schnaps aufs Haus (der Name ist mir leider entfallen – aber sehr lecker!).

Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich – genau die Art von Gastfreundschaft, die man sich wünscht, wenn man als Gast in einer Stadt ist.

Preis-Leistung: absolut top. Ein Ort, den man gerne weiterempfiehlt!
