We reserved two spots at the bar for 19:00 - 21:00. After arriving on time, and waiting for 20 minutes, we were informed that our seats were given away by another server. I have worked in restaurants for 7 years so I understand these inconveniences can happen, however the restaurants usually offers something to rectify the situation (Gift card, free meal, etc). They offered us absolutely nothing for this inconvenience.
20 minutes later, we were called and said that we could come at 20:00. We essentially had to because we had no food at home and all other restaurants were reserved. We were forced to eat extremely quickly and not able to enjoy our meal. It was also cooked so fast due to the time constraints, therefore the meat was burnt and dry.
Overall, I used to love this restaurant, but this experience has shown really poor customer service. Frankly, in my restaurants, this is unacceptable, therefore I wouldn't recommend going here.

Wir haben zwei Plätze an der Bar für 19:00 - 21:00 Uhr reserviert. Nachdem wir pünktlich angekommen waren und 20 Minuten gewartet hatten, wurden wir darüber informiert, dass unsere Plätze von einem anderen Server vergeben wurden. Ich arbeite seit 7 Jahren in Restaurants, daher verstehe ich, dass diese Unannehmlichkeiten passieren können, aber die Restaurants bieten normalerweise etwas an, um die Situation zu beheben (Geschenkkarte, kostenloses Essen usw.). Sie haben uns für diese Unannehmlichkeiten absolut nichts angeboten.
20 Minuten später wurden wir angerufen und sagten, dass wir um 20:00 Uhr kommen könnten. Das mussten wir im Wesentlichen, weil wir zu Hause nichts zu essen hatten und alle anderen Restaurants reserviert waren. Wir waren gezwungen, extrem schnell zu essen und konnten unsere Mahlzeit nicht genießen. Außerdem war es aus Zeitgründen so schnell gekocht, deshalb war das Fleisch verbrannt und trocken.

Read moreI'm really sad to have to give this review - as I've never once in my life gone on to a website to write a negative review about a restaurant but it was definitely necessary this time.
I'll preface this by saying that the ribs were great, and I've eaten at Rusticana twice before and didn't have an experience like this - but a certain long black-haired female member of staff made our experience miserable.
To start, she set the atmosphere almost immediately by being extremely dry towards us. We got past that and ordered our food, and eventually my onion rings came out by themselves... Ten minutes before the rest of the food.
Our ribs finally joined them, and she dropped two ribs in the sink which she said she would replace but never did. After that, they forgot the baked potato that my mum ordered and never brought it out.
My dad ordered a steak sandwich medium, and it didn't come out until ten more minutes after our ribs. It was clearly rare and extremely bloody, so he politely asked if it could be cooked slightly more. The aforementioned female member of staff continued to be extremely abbrassive and rude to us throughout the rest of the meal.
When we were down to our last few ribs, the steak sandwich finally joined us after being thrown down on the table by the waitress without saying a word to us. It was also overcooked now to the point of being charred.
She didn't speak to us at all when we were trying to pay, and we had to ask for the bill several times because they were taking such a long time and we just wanted out of there.
Without a doubt the worst dining experience of my life, and while I had really good experiences at Rusticana before, I won't be going back as this particular member of staff was so hateful towards us from the moment we sat down that the entire atmosphere of our dinner was ruined.

Read moreUpdate Dec 16th 2019: Rusticana was my favorite place for spareribs but unfortunately I can't really say that anymore. The quality has dropped by a decent amount from when I first visited. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good place, it's just that compared to what it offered before it's not as good anymore. The last few times I visited, the ribs were not as tender and soft as they were before. The sauce however is still great. That's why I'm deducting one star.
Best spareribs that I have eaten!* The ribs are their main focus and it really shows. If you come in a group and order them, they are served in a big pile on a plank of wood for you to dig in. Of course they provide you with bibs and a lot of napkins to keep everything clean.
The ribs are wonderfully delicious, the meat is super tense after having been on the grill for some time (you can watch them cook by the way) and they are coated in their secret barbecue sauce which is the perfect balance between sweet and savory.
You also have a lot of options for side dishes, like a baked potato, or, even though a bit more pricy but my favorite, some crispy onion rings. The ribs are not all-you-can-eat, but you'll most probably be full after, especially with a side dish, or if you go with people that don't eat very much ;) There's also a lot more on the menu, like steaks, but the ribs are definitely the main attraction.
The interior is rustic and cosy, but it can get warm, especially in summer. It's also a rather small place, but it can house bigger groups. Also, definitely try to make a reservation!
