Before I start to rant about the poor service and incompetent staff, I need to let you know that you won't find any ribs that good for that price. 15 € a serving is fair as they truly taste terrific, with the correct amount of sauce and so tender the meat nearly falls of the bones it's self. However I must say that I was very lucky that I have eaten not too long ago and was patient as I wasn't looking to satisfy my craving for good food. The portion is fairy small and would not satisfy an average meat lover. I ordered a side dish which never came but also was not on the bill. Clearly the people that are working there in service have no clue what they are doing. The problem a began at trying to reserve a table. They said that we can have a table inside but if someone from outside will decide to change their table our reservation will be lost. As we entered the restaurant there were people sitting on the table with out reservation sign. Thankfully we found a free table outside on the street. It took about 20 min for some one to come and give us a menu. Another 30 min for the food to arrive. Once we indulged in our ribs, no one from the service thought it was necessary to spend any more time with out table. The side orders never came and the waiters were so seldom around our table that it was impossible to ask whether they forgot. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone who lays high value on on service or does not have 2,5 hours to dine. The food is food but the service is unacceptable.

Liebe langjährige Freunde und Gäste des Rusticana, heute war es mal wieder soweit nach einem langen anstrengenden Tag freut man sich auf sensationelle Spareribs im Rusticana und macht sich auf den Weg durch die verkehrsverstopfte Stadt voller Vorfreude auf ein leckeres Essen. Nachdem ich bereits 25 Jahre dort als Gast gerne eingekehrt bin, hatte ich heute die vollkommene Ernüchterung und Enttäuschung! Netterweise hatte man uns einen Platz an der Bar zurückgehalten, was sehr freundlich und aufmerksam war, weil der Andrang täglich wirklich sehr groß ist. Aufgrund meiner letzten Erfahrungen als Gast dort, bat ich bereits bei der Bestellung darum, dass die Spareribs frisch und heiß vom Grill auf den Teller kommen beziehungsweise die Holzplatte, weil ich nun schon mehrfach das Problem mit lauwarmen, bis kalten Spareribs hatte. Dies ist der Situation geschuldet, dass es nur einen kleinen Grill gibt und dort sehr viel "vorgegearbeitet" und dann in einem Warmhalteofen zwischengelagert wird. Früher kamen die Ribs vom Grill unverzüglich auf den Tisch! Ergänzend zu den Spareribs hatten wir noch einen Salat und eine Ofenkartoffel bestellt, welche sehr lecker waren. Leider kamen die Spareribs ewig nicht und somit wurde die Ofenkartoffel einfach kalt. Dann kamen sie endlich die Spareribs und ich musste wieder feststellen, dass sie leider nur lauwarm waren. Was für eine Enttäuschung trotz vorheriger Ansage und Bitte diese heiß vom Ofen zu servieren. Nun musste ich wieder darum bitten, die Spareribs nochmal heiß zu machen, und sie verschwanden zurück in der Küche. Das Resultat nach 10 Minuten waren total vertrocknete, übel schmeckende Spareribs, die wohl einfach in der Mikrowelle gelandet sind, um das ganze wieder zu erwärmen. Nachdem ich eigentlich überhaupt kein Fan bin, negative Bewertung ins Internet zu stellen, habe ich natürlich davor noch mal das Gespräch gesucht sowohl mit der Küche als auch mit der Dame hinter der Bar, mit Abstand zu den Gästen. Ob man irgendeine Lösung finden könnte, dies wurde aber verneint und man hat sich für den Hinweis bedankt. Keinen Ersatz, keine Erstattung oder Ähnliches. Wir haben dann umgehend bezahlt, nachdem man uns aufgefordert hat die Plätze zu räumen, was auch gerechtfertigt war, weil weitere Gäste gekommen sind. Mir wurde dann beim bezahlen angeraten das Restaurant nicht mehr zu besuchen. Eine wahre Meisterleistung an Gastfreundlichkeit nach 25 Jahren Treue. Ich finde, wenn man nicht mehr in der Lage ist, sein Kerngeschäft, nämlich Spareribs, die man seit Jahrzehnten kennt, heiß und frisch auf den Tisch zu servieren, dann sollte man sich ein anderes Betätigungsfeld suchen. Nach 25 Jahren war das nun mein letzter Besuch im Rustikana. wie gesagt, mir wurde auch angeraten, das Restaurant nicht mehr zu betreten . Ich habe versucht alles auf dem kommunikativen direkten Weg zu lösen. Dafür war man jedoch nicht offen deshalb schreibe ich jetzt hier, worauf alle Rusticana Besucher in Zukunft achten sollten. Schaut, wie lange eure Spareribs vom Grill in die Küche verschwinden und wenn sie serviert werden , prüft, ob sie auch wirklich heiß sind. Ansonsten würde ich sie zurückgehen lassen. Und natürlich bin ich sehr enttäuscht vom Essen gewesen, aber noch viel enttäuschender ist die Art, wie man als Gast behandelt wird und das es nicht auf dem kommunikativen, menschlichen Weg möglich war, eine zufrieden stellende Lösung für alle zu finden. Stelle noch den Beleg hier ein, damit man sieht, dass ich das Restaurant heute auch wirklich besucht habe. Bin gespannt ob es überhaupt eine Reaktion vom Restaurant geben wird.

it's an excellent restaurant that knows how to mix the European and the American cuisine in an intimate familiar atmosphere that deserves be a must in every tourist tour. it's a very successful bar-restaurant where you could enjoy simple European and American plates in an intimate ambiance; it's a very busy place where reservations are highly recommended. Clients can enjoy not just the real juiciest freshest german and american food in the area but the excellent costumer service; very nice personal, fresh food, and very tasty recipes; clean and odorous bathrooms; place very well organized and designed; again, you can try a great variety of meats and soups plates but also there is plenty of fresh veggies and other food plates that you can enjoy and mix; great plates variety and presentation; little expensive, but great experience...so HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Mixed feelings about this place. Coming here for dinner without reservations was a bad idea, as the place was obviously full. But we realised that takeaways were possible after seeing someone carry a box out of the restaurant (I wonder why the staff did not inform us of their takeaway service), so we went for it. The food for 3 was ready in about 30 minutes, which was alright. Overall, the service was typical of a busy place which knows it won't hurt to lose a customer or two. The portions of spare ribs were amazing (I would strongly recommend only 2 portions for 3 people), but on the contrary, we got only 6 measely onion rings. The taste of the ribs was also quite underwhelming; too sweet and lacked oomph. Perhaps we were expecting too much after seeing how packed the place was.

This place has amazing bbq ribs, nothing more need to be said, period. Make sure to call ahead and book a seat because it’s not big, and they turn off the grill before 11pm, maybe 10:30 already because the first time I went there too late. Second time I booked a seat at the bar so we could see them grill the ribs and steaks. We ordered one serving of ribs and one steak. I have to say the ribs were cheaper yet better than the steak. It was juicy and tender and just perfect. While the steak is a bit too smokey for my taste from the coal grill. Great value for money and friendly staff. Basically every table has a pile of ribs in the middle. Go for it and order nothing else, do not waste your stomach space on appetizers and potatoes, just go for the ribs you won’t regret it!
