SMASH IT! HAIDHAUSEN — Restaurant in Munich

Found this place on social media and was really eager to try it and it definitely lived up to the hype! We were quite shocked because it turned out to be just this small window where you order your burger and you will also collect your order from the same window and there were no seats. The seats you see in my pictures and where we sat was actually owned by the restaurant beside it which was either closed or renovating. So it is supposed to be take-out only. I was also intrigued when looking at the price because it is the same as other high quality burgers in Munich that has a proper place and even toilets and everything available, I mean like… how brave are you to not even have a proper place and have the same price as them. We both tried the All in burger which was 13€ because we thought it was different as it used brioche buns instead of normal burger buns. They needed quite a while to prepare our burger but I guess good things take time because it was actually somehow one of the best smash burger I have ever tasted in my life! The buns were great, you can really taste the thick meat patties and they were also very juicy. I tried to squeeze it a little bit and the meat juice just came flowing, it was crazy good! Adding all the other things in there like the cheese, caramelized onions, and so on just makes the burger even more amazing! Still… it would’ve been perfect if the price was not this high or they can compensate it by having a proper place to seat and eat but for me it is still worth it to go to if you want a very delicious smash burger! Oh and a fun fact is that the line towards the window never died since we were there until we left. The customers just kept on coming and were even more when we left! My second time here and last for sure. First time I was there in September 2024. Burger was too greasy. I've thrown away half of it. It was Smash it burger. Idk anymore the full name. Today, 19.4.25., I came hungry as hell but ordered a burger with just one meat and extra jalapeños (regular burger). I made sure they understood what I'm saying. I paid, didn't get receipt and when it was finally my turn to eat everything came out COLD! Like cold cold. I brought everything back, told them it was cold. They said something between themselves and one of them said they'll make everything again. At that point, I'm starving. 10 minutes later they brought me that same burger in aluminium foil just a little bit warmer and Pommes that was hot. No napkins, no plate, no nothing. Terrible. I was excited to try this place, but while waiting in line I noticed some things that made me very uncomfortable. The cashier was taking money and then immediately preparing burgers without washing hands or wearing gloves - even the chef wasn't wearing gloves and he was taking the chicken by his hand. I also saw ingredients like pickles being handled directly by hand. It didn’t feel sanitary, so I chose not to order. Hopefully, they improve their food...
