Soul of Kalymnos — Restaurant in Munich

I visited the restaurant with my wife three days ago. The food was excellent and the portions were very satisfying. As a Greek, I often find it difficult to come across truly authentic Greek food that meets my expectations, but this restaurant fully delivered. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the service was very helpful and kind, eager to assist us with any questions we had. I would highly recommend it and will definitely visit again in the future. I visited the new Greek restaurant at Rosenheimer Platz on Monday evening. The atmosphere was warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxing dinner, good conversation, and a nice glass of wine. We started with a platter of hot and cold appetizers, all of which were absolutely delicious. For the main course, we had a mixed meat platter for one person and a beef patty with vegetables, both of which were excellent. The service was outstanding and very attentive. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Wir waren am 31.08. abends zum Essen dort, da unser griechisches Stammlokal leider Urlaub hatte. Ich hatte ein Gyros mit Salat bestellt. Das Fleisch war sehr fettig und von eher unterdurschnittlicher Qualität. Auch geschmacklich nicht überzeugend, eher neutral, charakterlos. Der Salat war einem griechisches Lokal nicht würdig. In einer sehr kleinen Schüssel serviert, fand ich genau 2 Hälften einer Cocktailtomate, 1 oder 2 Scheiben Gurke, sonst Chinakohl oder ähnliches und ein zu kompostieren beginnendes Salatblatt. Geschmacklich nicht griechisch, sondern eher Richtung Kantinenessen. Meine Begleitung hatte den Fehler gemacht, überbackenes Gyros zu nehmen. Er hat es nicht mal zur Hälfte aufgegessen..... Die Bedienung, vermutlich die Betreiberin des Lokals erwies sich als wenig Kritikfähig als ich ihr meinen Eindruck über die Speisen mitteilte und ich fühlte mich als Gast von ihr verbal angegriffen. Zu Gute halten möchte ich ihr, dass sie uns das Gyros nicht berechnet hat. Das Preis/Qualität- Verhältnis finde ich an der "Kostprobe" gemessen unverhältnismäßig, d.h. für die Qualität zu teuer. Zur Bestuhlung: Die grauen Kunststoffstühle und Tische im Außenbereich, an die wir uns zu erst gesetzt hatten waren sehr unbequem. Im Stuhl sitzt man sehr tief, sodass der Tisch bis an Brusthöhe ragt (und ich bin keine kleine Person).
