A great example how you can get everything right, technically, and then completely fail with customer satisfaction.
This restaurant makes great sandwiches, thanks to their new and modern equipment in the store, but the staff's behaviour relativates all of this and leaves a sour taste behind. Not customer friendly, and not polite.
We arrived there with our kick scooters, when attempting to place them in the store where they wouldn't bother anyone, we were asked to please place them outside. Since we did not bring locks, we did not want to put them on the sidewalk where they can be stolen. We then placed them in a corner in the restaurant where they would definitely not bother anyone. The entire restaurant was empty and no seats were filled.
The person who I assumed to be the manager was extremely bothered by this, and we were told in a very impolite manner that we are to cover "damages to the store wall" we had caused by our placement of a kickscooter near the wall, which was not even touching it.
I wonder if the staff would give the same treatment to someone parking a baby stroller?
If you get out of bed on a bad foot, please leave your troubles at home and don't bring...

I visited the store recently on 25th July 2025 after noon with a friend. We ordered something and a guy serving there asked us to wait like 2 minutes. We did, after patiently waiting for like 10 minutes we asked again politely, if we could order now. The guy then asked us again to wait.
Finally after waiting for 15 mins we got to order. At the very beginning we asked if he can change the hand gloves since we are both vegetarians and the friend had glucose & lactose intolerancy. The guy said "yes I'll change it". So, we ordered! He literally started preparing it without changing the gloves. We then said sorry, if he doesn't change them, we don't want anything we're fine. After this he started yelling we need to pay for the whole order that too quite rudely. It was still only the bread and cheese on it, that he prepared so far.
We said we really don't want to eat here because she's allergic. Meanwhile he kept shouting we have to pay for the order though we don't want to eat there anymore. Luckily we managed to leave the place safely.
Such an unprofessional and unethical behaviour! This coming from a globally popular food chain like SUBWAY is hard to accept and sth. you never would've expected. Extremely disappointed and unsatisfied:(
I have to say this, I won't recommend anyone to go to this SUBWAY branch.

Ich habe am 25. Juli 2025 nachmittags zusammen mit einer Freundin diese SUBWAY-Filiale besucht. Wir wollten etwas bestellen, aber der Mitarbeiter bat uns zunächst, etwa „2 Minuten“ zu warten. Wir warteten geduldig, doch nach etwa 10 Minuten fragten wir höflich nach, ob wir jetzt bestellen könnten. Daraufhin hieß es erneut, wir sollen noch kurz warten.
Nach insgesamt ca. 15 Minuten konnten wir schließlich bestellen. Direkt zu Beginn baten wir den Mitarbeiter ausdrücklich, die Handschuhe zu wechseln, da wir beide Vegetarier sind und meine Freundin zudem unter Glukose- und Laktoseintoleranz leidet. Seine Antwort: „Ja, ich wechsle sie.“ Also bestellten wir.
Doch dann begann er sofort mit der Zubereitung – ohne die Handschuhe zu wechseln. Wir sagten direkt, dass wir in dem Fall lieber auf die Bestellung verzichten möchten, da das für uns nicht in Ordnung ist. Daraufhin wurde der Mitarbeiter sehr unfreundlich und fing an, lautstark zu behaupten, wir müssten die komplette Bestellung bezahlen – obwohl bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt nur das Brot mit Käse belegt war.
Wir erklärten ruhig, dass wir wirklich nichts essen können, weil die Freundin allergisch ist. Trotzdem wurde weiter lautstark auf uns eingeredet, wir müssten bezahlen. Die Situation wurde zunehmend unangenehm, aber zum Glück konnten wir den Laden sicher verlassen.
Ein derart unprofessionelles und unethisches Verhalten hätte ich nie bei einer weltweit bekannten Kette wie SUBWAY erwartet. Es war eine extrem enttäuschende Erfahrung.

Read moreAs I follow a strict Indian vegetarian ( no eggs) diet so I asked the waitress to change her gloves before she prepared my veggie delight as she had touched meat before this but she did not understand what I was trying to explain. Thankfully a German customer next to me explained her my requirements, listening to this she made face which is absolutely not acceptable. Then other guy who was at the food counter prepared my Sub as per my standards. All I would like to say is at SubWay if you are not ready to maintain vegetarian standards as per customer requirements then why you have to promote vegan or vegetarian options, we can go elsewhere. Please look into it because it matters to us. Because when tourists are in India then we take care of their hospitality as per their standards. Thank you.
