480Grad neapolitan Pizza X Pianobar — Restaurant in Nuremberg

This was one of the worst dining experiences of our lives. It all started with the waitress forgetting our drinks. In fact, the table that arrived way after us, received them first. It went on with the waitress dropping the silverware (ok, this can happen when you are in hurry). Then it took approximately one hour to receive one pizza. My wife ordered a plate of mixed antipasti and it basically never arrived. In fact it was served to another table (the same as the drinks). The waitress apologized tens of times during our stay and she said it will take 5 more minutes to bring my wife’s plate. Obviously it didn’t take 5 minutes since I finished my pizza (and I was eating slowly). In the meantime many pizzas were coming out of the kitchen, but not my wife’s plate. When some other ladies on another table close to us received their pizzas (note: they arrived one hour after us), we decided to leave. Of course we had to pay for everything: one pizza and two soft drinks. I think we had been very (very) patient and tolerant but they really messed everything up. Mistakes can happen but, when you are one hour and 15 minutes late with a plate, you shall give it the maximum priority. This has not been made. One last advice for the owner: reduce the size of your terrace because you obviously cannot cope with so many couverts. It’s a shame because my pizza was good, but NEVER AGAIN. Go to pizz&via instead....

This place has great potential. However, upon arrival at about 1pm we waited 20 min for our drinks. Then waited another 45 min for appetizer. At this point it was 3pm and we had still not gotten our pizzas. We were a family of 4 with 2 small kids. As you can imagine they were not very happy with waiting for so long. There was a table of 6 people all adults that came 30 min after we first got there and they were served right away and only waited for their pizzas for about 20 min. I asked the waitress why it was taking so long to which she responded with “ another guy didn’t show up so there is only 1 person in kitchen” she then proceeded to claim another table would be getting their orders before us, mind you we were seated at 1pm and this was 3pm already. And the guys that were going to be served first came almost 2 hours after us. COMPLETELY...

I knew the place many many years ago when I lived in Nuremberg, it was my favourite breakfast spot.

Returned to Nuremberg in 2024 and realised it is not anymore and I was sad. Because I was so sad and because Pianobar doesn't sound appealing to me so I didn't even think about going there. It was end of August and my partner and I were looking for a bar. EVERYTHING was packed and that is my personal nightmare. On our way back to the hotel we stumbled upon the piano bar and it was basically empty. So we decided to sit down for a cocktail.

What can I say....LUSH. really good cocktails and the waitress was super polite and kind. We felt very good taken care of. While I was happy that not so many people where there at the time, I hope that that is not normally so because places like this need to prosper!
