Really nice and small museum about the German Bratwurst, and explicitly about the Nürnberg Bratwurst and the whole history. The owner or the person working in this museum has a lot of knowledge about it and not studied, but real knowledge. He spoke about the fact he went and got many information from history books in the Nürnberger library. About anything you ask him he got an answer and know the background of it. Very interesting.

Vraag maar beter niet in dit museum naar de talloze kraampjes in de stad die die vreselijke nep-worstjes verkopen. De mensen die zo vol met energie dit piepkleine museumpje op het ´Trödeleilandje´ midden in de rivier de Pegnitz ´runnen´ zal dat als ´een klap in het aangezicht´ voelen... Ooit was dit worstje namelijk een kwalitatief bijna niet te verslaan klein miniworstje waarvan de oorsprong en de bereidingswijze op dit plekje fluisterend aan u wordt meegedeeld. Helaas gingen in deze eeuw hordes van hongerige géldfluisteraars met het origineel aan de haal en veranderden zo het appetijtelijke worstje op teveel plaatsen in de stad in een inmidddels onherkenbaar geworden en nauwelijks nog te ´pruimen´ produkt. Hier in dit knusse museumpje kunt u onmiskenbaar zien wat een prachtprodukt dit in werkelijkheid ooit ´was´ en daarna benadert u, dat garandeer ik u, élke kraam in de stad waar nog worstjes worden verkocht met een geheel andere bril!

Vorwort Sehr zu empfehlen, allerdings muss man sich bewusst sein, dass man anschließend unvermeidlich Nürnberger Bratwurst essen möchte. Außerdem ist zu erwähnen, dass ich Museen eigentlich wirklich nicht mag, da sie sehr langweilig sind. Ersteindruck Es ist ein sehr modernes und sehr informatives Museum mit einer guten Mischung aus Text, Bild, Video und ausgestellten originalem Material. Obwohl es mit 100qm ein sehr kleines Museum ist, wird die Geschichte der Bratwurst mit sämtlichem Mythen erzählt, ohne dass es zu viel wird. Besonderheit Die spontanen Erzählungen des Museum-Führers in jedem einzelnen Bereich haben das Ganze noch bedeutend lebendiger gemacht und vor allem auch ergänzt. So ist sogar einiges hängen geblieben, was mir in Museen sonst nicht passiert. Gerne wieder! Vielen Dank für das Erlebnis! So macht Museum schauen Spaß! Die paar Euronen waren die Besichtigung mit all den Extras definitiv Wert! Guten Hunger

This is a small museum, you can finish it in half an hour. But it's quite entertaining, and a good chance to learn more than you could possibly ever think there is to know about Nuremberger Bratwurst. As an added bonus, the gentleman running it is very friendly and knowledgeable, and if you're a tourist who doesn't speak German, the staff do speak English as well.
