Have come here a few times and it is nice to have a café locally making a variety of breakfasts. But it’s expensive and portions are not very generous. Today was disappointing, I paid 14,90€ for a breakfast, which comes with a small portion of bread - not enough for the condiments on the plate. I asked for more bread and when paying the bill was charged another euro, I didn’t notice till I left the cafe and looked back at the receipt. It’s not the fact that it cost one euro extra on top of a very expensive breakfast. But please - if you charge extra, tell your customers in advance, not just automatically add it to the bill. It’s not that I’m expecting stuff for free, but when there is no generosity in spirit it just feels like a rip-off. I paid 15,90€ for a plate of what is essentially scrambled eggs, jam, some mixed cheeses and bread. It’s absolutely overpriced and scrambled eggs were over cooked and over salted. Total cost with drink for 1 person was 23€, for this price I’d...

Cute, cozy cafe in a nice quiet neighborhood not far from the centre. The food was delicious but 1 star taken off for being rather overpriced for what you get. The omelette special (Zucchini & cheese) was over €15 but although it was tasty, it was nothing extraordinary. The bread basket (6 slices of 3 different kinds of bread) we got looked great except that most of the slices were very dry. The pancake special had more value as the portion size was good & there were a lot of sautéed nectarines as a topping. Very tasty but also somewhat overpriced (just over €9). The coffee was good. The regular breakfast menu items seem to be better priced & look just as good. Perhaps our expectations were high because of the other reviews but there are definitely better breakfast spots in Nuremberg. However, the server was lovely, helpful and the service was fast so it’s still worth another...

Good coffee, lovely little cafe with a good outdoor area. The food was delicious and exactly what it said it was on the menu. Prices are completely fine and reasonable.

I really do not understand what some people are complaining about when it comes to portions and cost. As can be seen from my photos, our breakfast was a great size, with each pancake being about as large as a beer coaster (or maybe slightly larger) and was 9€. I personally think this is a great price. Bread basket was very generous with 6 slices (total) of 3 different breads, and this was just for one person.

I really think some people need to check their expectations.

This is a perfectly fine little cafe with friendly staff, good service and good food. Absolutely...

We travelled from Portugal to Germany and our meal in café egg was the first one in Nuremberg. We ordered cappuchino, nutella pancakes, omelette and pancake menu (speciality). All the food was good. The place is beautiful and comfortable. The host is very polite and friendly. She has a good english and everything was delivered quickly. 100% recomended.
