I made a reservation for 3 ppl but service was horrible from the point of walk-in. We should have turned around and went to other restaurant. when we walked into check-in, instead of greeting by waiter or waitress, they did not even ask how many ppl or did we make reservation or what not. He was having lunch but he did not pause and kept eating. They did not escort us where we could sit and just raised his head and chin up to go there. Also waitress did not repeat what we order and we ended up getting wrong dish so we had to complain this part to get the right dish. She did not say sorry about mistake. If she was not sure when she was taking order, she should have asked again. In addition, They never checked our table while we are having meal with all that bad mood by their service. They checked other tables at least 2-3 times but ours. I complained about all this rudeness and impolite service to manager/waiter but his answer was just all excuse rather than listen careful, admitted and apologized without delay. I do not recommend this...
Read moreA pretty run-of-the-mill place - great for a tired tourist on a late Monday afternoon, but pretty flat otherwise. Service is pleasant and cordial, a nice touch is that all waiters have been instructed to use basic Italian words (hello, please, sorry, goodbye). The kitchen is working very efficiently, churning out meals in no time and you can even watch what is going on via the screen in the dining hall. BUT, I ordered the Parma ham and Grana Padano - terrible presentation, could have been (maybe is) transferred from supermarket items, Diavola pizza (dough and oven are good, but way too much mozzarella that essentially makes it a non-Italian pizza). The bottle of wine was marvelous in itself through no fault of the establishment, although the decanter and airer were a good touch. The main crime though was the dessert - any "Italian" restaurant that serves a Tiramisu with whipped cream instead of Mascarpone, is not worth a second thought, nevermind a...
Read moreDidn't have a good experience here. Service was slow. The spaghetti carbonara was terrible: overcooked pasta, scrambled egg, dry, and with an unpleasant taste. Tasted like it had been overcooked in advance and then reheated. Penne arrabiata was better, but the garlic and chillies in it were a bit raw. Ordered a small beer but the waiter brought a large one. I pointed it out, he said he would only charge for a small one, but then after paying the bill I realised I had been charged for the large one (only receive an itemised bill as a receipt, not before payment). Was a nice atmosphere, but if good food and service are what you're looking for, we can't...
