Gingerbread-Schmidt — Local services in Nuremberg

Lebkuchen Schmidt is based in Nuremburg and is a famous maker of gingerbread and other holiday seasonal food products which they make and sell year round. There are a several Schmidt shops around the city including this neatly decorated shop at Hauptmarkt. Opening hours are 9am to 8pm (Mon - Sat) and 10.30am to 6.30pm (Sun).

While you can buy lebkuchen throughout the year from Schmidt, there is no better time during during the annual Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. We stopped by this shop recently and enjoyed seeing their Christmas foods many of which are neatly packaged in beautiful tins.

Note that the Schmidt shops are very busy, shoulder to shoulder crowds during the Christmas holiday times. Schmidt also has a stall at the main Christkindlesmarkt at Hauptmarkt where you can buy individual lebkuchen cookies or packages.

In the end, there are one of quite a few makers of this locally famous Christmas gingerbread cookie in Nuremburg. Give Schmidt a try if you are in the mood to sample this locally famous speciality food during your time...

Lebkuchen (Nuremberg gingerbread) is world-famous, and this shop sells some of the very best! The store is centrally located just off Hauptmarkt Square, making it easy to find. The staff is super friendly and very helpful, and they even offer samples so you can taste before buying.

The gingerbread has the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, making it hard to stop at just one! They also sell individually packed pieces if you want to try different varieties. We bought a pack of six with three different variations, but we especially loved the classic one — perfectly soft, chewy, flavorful.

Ihr solltet euch schämen!!

Wir sind seid Jahren Kunden bei Schmidt und wir sind so enttäuscht wie die Firma sich mit uns benommen hat!! Am 19.11.21 hat meinen Vater, wie jedes Jahr bei Schmidt bestellt . Heute, 22. Februar 2022 haben wir unser Packet noch nicht bekommen. Durch den Tracking haben wir gesehen das etwas nicht gestimmt hat mit DHL Sendung, das Packet kam in Italien an (wo wir wohnen) und ging wieder zurück nach Deutschland. Seit dem, haben wir 3 Mails geschrieben, um unser Geld oder die Lebkuchen zurück zu haben, aber Schmidt sagt das es ein Problem von DHL war und sie wollen nichts da von wissen … sie haben sich die Hände davon gewaschen!!!

So eine historische Firma, die so antwortet ist eine Unverschämtheit!!!!! Schmidt sollte Ihre Kunden schützen!!! Wir haben doch Schmidt bezahlt um das Packet zu bekommen, doch nicht DHL. Schmidt sollte DHL um Schadenersatz fragen. Und nicht ihre Kunden im Stich lassen!!!

Wir haben auch direkt bei Schmidt 4 mal angerufen und die Antwort war immer „ich werde sie weiter verbinden…“ aber keiner hat uns weiterverbunden sondern AUFGELEGT!!!!! Shame on you!!!!!!
