This is one of my favorite restaurants in Nuremberg. It is a bit outside the city center in a neighborhood called Gostenhof. It offers good Italian food in a casual and friendly environment.
The menu on the website is deceptive, because the bulk of what is available shows up on the Tageskarte (daily menu - although most dishes stay on the blackboard for more than just one day) which will show up on a large blackboard near your table after you are seated. This will include a number of appetizers, about a dozen or so pasta dishes, and a handful of meat and fish dishes.
Recently, one of my favorite pastas has been the Caramelle di Parma, a tortellini-like filled pasta with a creamy tomato sauce. Another good pasta is the Tagliatelle with Truffles, a simple pasta dish with homemade pasta, butter, and truffle. The owner gets good truffles, so it is always a nice simple option. The pastas change ever so often, so these might not always be available, but you really can't go wrong with any of the pastas at the restaurant.
Outside of pasta, there are always a few meat and fish dishes. I'm not a big fish fan, but my dinner partners have enjoyed the tuna and the sepia. On the meat side, there is usually a filet on the menu and sometimes saltimbocca, both of which are also good.
I would recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant can sometimes get full on the weekends especially when conventions are in town.
If you're staying in the city, you can walk from the U-Bahn at Plaerrer or Gostenhof, but allow...

Well, where to start. Both food and service are stunning!!! You have to try it yourself.
Imho the best italian restaurant in nurnberg.( there are some other great pizza places- if it is counted- never had the time to try it here).
My recommendation would be, order any sea food or pasta or anything with truffel. Mozarealla is always fresh too but you may realise that you never had good mozzarella in your life.... Better you ask Romeo and his blackboard for the food ;). Then comes Allesondro with the wine... Try aged grappa at the end... I hope you enjoy as we do occasionally...
The prices are great and service is amazing. Dont get Ripped in the city center....this is the portal to northern...
Read moreReally enjoyable restaurant, the environment is chill and casual perfect for families, a nice date time or a nice time with friends. The service was really attentive and ready to help you with their menu of specials of you are not sure what to order. The prices are really fair for the quality and food portions, we had just pasta this time but I want to come back to have a nice pizza there. The pasta was al dente with good seasoning. I would really recommend this restaurant.
Note: is a bit difficult to find a parking spot so take this into consideration...
