Just a terrific German vegan experience.

I was wanting a Schnitzel since I arrived, and this was the first chance I had as a vegan. The “Cordon Bluff” special Schnitzel did not disappoint! Crunchy, chewy, creamy, and smoky, just a great bite. The German potato salad on the side was a great acid balance to the dish.

My non-vegan son had the Mac & Cheese and it was HUGE with a smoky flavor and really perfect al dente pasta, along with bread crumbs for texture and jalapeños for acid/spice. We even tried the German addition of (vegan) Worcestershire sauce and it was delightful!

Atmosphere is basic little cafe, but that’s not why you’d go.

Even if you're not a vegetarian, this place is a great place to eat. It tastes phenomenal, and the portions are sized pretty good, you'll definetely get full with just buying one thing (I bought the "Monatsburger"). Locationwise, you can eat in- and outside. In the summer, sitting outside while drinking a coke / coffee (or eating a cake) is very relaxing. You still have to wait a while for the food to come, I would've given one star less because of that, but the burger was so good, that it was worth waiting for it.

Ich war mit Freunden im Kaffee dada, da diese vegan waren und dada ein Abendessen zu sich nehmen wollten. Grundsätzlich ist das Essen nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht wirklich gut. Manche Dinge sind Geschmacksache und sicherlich zum Teil subjektiv. ZB. War im Dunkelbiergullasch kein Biergeschmack, es war eher eine Art „Paprikasoße“. Das Cordonbleu war okay….. aber es gibt auch Dinge, die nichts mit Geschmack zu tun haben sondern mit Kochkunst: Die Suppen sind zB. sehr dünn.. ist Speisestärke nicht auch vegan? Diese könnte man verwenden. Ich hatte das Gefühl hat einen Brokkoli-Tee zu trinken. Bestellt hatte ich eine Brokkolicremesuppe. Wer meine anderen Bewertungen durchschaut wird feststellen, dass ich schon immer eher gute Bewertungen schreibe. Das hier war aber schon eher .. naja.. genau so, wie man sich als nicht-veganer veganes essen vorstellt. Um den ganzen Abend dann absurder zu gestalten, kam „fahrendes Volk“ ins Lokal um ziemlich laut Musik zu spielen und danach penetrant um Geld zu betteln. Fand ich seltsam. Haben den Herren mit dem Kontrabass erst ignoriert, dann signalisiert dass wir eigentlich in Ruhe essen wollen, aber irgendwie ist er trotzdem bestimmt noch 15 Sekunden da gestanden und hat uns mit offener Hand angeschaut … sehr penetrant. Tut mir leid, aber ich wollte essen gehen und nicht einer scheppernden Straßen-Coverband lauschen die jedes Klischee erfüllt. Dada geh ich wirklich nur noch hin, wenn ich vegan werden sollte, plötzlich Lust auf nicht angedickte Suppen habe oder von Herren mit Kontrabass belästigt werden möchte. Tut mir leid für die eher mäßige Bewertung, aber es war wirklich ein...
