Trattoria Marina / Pizzeria Ciao — Restaurant in Regensburg

Me and my partner came to regensburg for a day trip and saw this restaurant near the old stone bridge, we ordered a pizza some beers and a vegetable lasagna...

What we got was not a vegetable lasagne it was runny and watery, we asked for this to be replaced which was where the bad experience took a turn for the worse...

We was told this is how vegetarian lasagna is, which is not I have eaten many and this was the worst, once taken away was not offered any more food and the staff just ignored us for the rest of the evening while me and my partner finsihed and shared her pizza.

We asked for the lasagna to be removed from the bill to which the owner refused although we did not eat it, we refused to pay for it, a fellow table over heard the discussion and offered to pay it for us and agreed the owner was out of order, we refused this of course, and the owner then went on to say he would call the police which we said he should because we are not refusing to pay for anything only what we did not have as it was not to the standards or description expected.

He pretended to call the police and just left us waiting outside, we had to leave because our train was soon, so ended up paying for it (it was not much at all) but the principle and the service was one of the worst ever experienced, how an establishment can be ran like this is absurd. I hope the owner see's this review and realises how out of order this was. The owner proceeded to shout telling us to leave the restaurant now after we paid WOW. I mean to receive aggression Aswell this is so awful I actually felt very intimadated he removed his mask to even raise his voice at us.

We will for sure not be coming here again. Although we was recommended this place by someone else they to have said they would not return, thankyou for showing us how rude some people can be and I hope you bulk up your customer services in the future.

It seems like the owner doesn't care if his customers leave hungry or not, even the waitress felt quite awkward after, when I went to explain to him after, he was actually quite racist and one of his staff in the kitchen couldn't even look up at him, what an awful person I really can't believe this behaviour still...

I went today 21/7/2021 at 21.30 hr with my friend to have some dinner and drinks , and we asked very polite to the waitress if we can sit in the free table that there was, with the nice view of the Donau , she said "NO" and told us to sit in other place, we accepted and we though it was because it was booked, but we saw another table getting free and we ask the other waiter if we could sit there and he said "YES", few minuts later the waitress very arrogant and unpolite came and told us to go out , we asked "why?" , she said because nobody drink alcohol at that hour , but beside us the other customers were drinking wine, and aperol and we didnt even ordered what we wanted, then We told her" since when? because we come always to have dinner and drinks there" , she said it has to do with the day , so she couldnt explain us exactly why , but she didnt allow us to stay there any longer and she took us out in front of every body without any reason and in a very unpolite way, we felt very offended . I never felt so offended in this place and in Regensburg , that was one of my favorite places that i always recommend to go because of the view, but i totally dont recomend to sit there when there is that waitres. I dont understand why people like that work in service , who are not friendly...

Die junge Kellnerin ist sehr unfreundlich, ungeduldig (sogar borstig) zu Schwangerschaft und Kinder. Nicht geeignet Platz für Familie….

I came with my pregnant wife and 2 year old son. We have foldable stroller and certainly state to the waitress we could fold it, but she still keeps nagging us to fold it when we were taking something out of the stroller. Then later we call her a few times to order, that’s 8 pm, the dinner time has for sure passed for pregnancy and child, but she kept us waiting for quite a while. Later on, since in the restroom there is no diaper changing table, I picked a quiet corner without guests to change my child’s diaper, but she comes to rudely stop it and said please go out and turn right to change it. So in the end since she kept us waiting for quite some times and with such an altitude, we simply left before ordering anything.

I can understand that she is busy, but she could be a bit more polite or patient… Given our experience, sorry no positive comments can be given.

People come out eat for joy not...
