Cafeteria-style "express restaurant", the German version of fast-food. By the time you pay the super low prices (I had the Schollenfilet with Bratkartoffeln and Rotkohl for €5.20 and a banana juice for another €1.40), your food is already waiting for you on the counter. There are usually about 7 different meal choices. The restaurant was nothing fancy but nice decor, and quiet even though most tables were occupied. Because people come here for breakfast or lunch oon work days, tables turn over very quickly and one never needs to worry about not finding a seat. Gut und günstig!!! Die Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und auch mal zu einem Scherz aufgelegt! Zur Mittagszeit geht es ratz fatz, wie im Taubenschlag :) Der Mittagstisch ist zentral in der Altstadt gelegen. Serviert wird typisch norddeutsche Hausmannskost ohne viel Klimmbimm, Brimborium und Schikimiki. Wechselnde Tagekarte, mit wöchentlichen Klassikern, z.B. dem "Jägerschnitzel-Mittwoch" (mit Nudeln und Tomatensauce). Ich esse dort regelmäßig und das seit vielen vielen Jahren.
