Outside seating - This review pertains only to my visit to the sidewalk cafe, not the restaurant upstairs. This was my first time eating (I've been two other times for drinks in the bar). My low rating is because 1.) After ordering a meal and gin, pure over ice, I was refused a glass of tap water, the server stating it was not allowed and that he could bring a bottle of water; 2.) When my drink was served I was surprised at the extreme amount of alcohol in the glass - it must have been three portions or more - this was not a small aperitif before my meal and I would have preferred to have been given the choice to limit my alcohol intake; 3.) When the food arrived I was quite disappointed in the presentation. It looked like someone had just chopped up a bunch of stuff and randomly thrown them in together in an extremely boring-looking bowl; 4.) Eating the "Hawaiian style" sushi was the biggest disappointment of my visit. From such a high-rated restaurant I would have expected a more eloquent taste. The amount of soy sauce covering the entire salad portion was so overpowering, it drowned out all taste of any vegetable in the salad. Yes, and as people from this region do seem to enjoy eating their radishes, it was quite unbefitting of such a restaurant to throw in huge chunks of almost whole radishes into this dish - again having an entire radish in my mouth totally distracted the taste of anything else. The bowl everything came in was so small that all of the tastes were simply pushed together leaving no room for distinguishing any part from a different part of the dish. It was hardly possible to pick out the creamy taste of the avocado creme or the freshness of the green beans. As well, the balancing taste of the rice hidden at the bottom was lost by the overpowering taste of too much soy sauce. Overall my rating for the evening would be even much lower; however, it is always good to give a second chance. The fact that my server came back after 10 minutes with a glass of water stating he had asked his boss and was allowed to make an exception for this evening; and, the fact that I ended up having a lovely conversation with a neighboring table saved the evening. Normally I don't write such long-winded reviews, but 5 belongs to a category of resturant in this town that simply requires better attention to detail. It will be a long time before I give my second chance to...

This is my second Michelin star restaurant I have been to. The first in Prague was amazing and as I enjoy reviewing my experience with normal restaurants and businesses, why not try some of the best in the world. This restaurant is pretty close to where I live so I decided to try here first.
Very similar to the other Michelin restaurant, the markings/advertisment of the restaurant are very miniscule and I have actually walked by it many times and never knew it was there.
First I was contacted after reserving that they would prefer me to come 15 minutes early for seating, COVID check, and a drink before going to the restaurant. I selected the lemonchello and prosecco for my drink. A little bitter, sour, sweet, and bubbly, but overall a pleasant drink. I then was instructed on how it works which is very similar to other locations, but they wanted to know if they can surprise me since I don't have any food allergies. A welcome experience I must say and hopefully they can live up to that. I chose the 5 course meal with accompanying wine. This includes 3 appetizers and a desert which I chose the cheese based pear option.
I went upstairs for the dinner and was greeted by a three piece appetizers where the first what the hanging truffle which was super salty and I honestly wanted to spit it out but finished none the less. Next was the black praline which had a very meaty taste and texture but rich as well. Lastly was the oyster style one which I as very similar to the last but with an edible outside cookie style holder.
From here on out I won't be giving a review of the food as it may be a bit difficult to put into words.
Overall I think most of the dishes were amazing except for the fish dish. The fish had almost no flavor except the skin on top.
Recommendation Obviously a Michelin star restaurant is an experience most do not partake in but does imply a many things. Great service and delicious food. My only issue is I expected more diversity in flavors and not so much where each dish compliments each other. I definitely recommend and will be trying again once the...
Read morethis is a very interesting restaurant. The food is prepared excellently and it is quite creative as well. There is some for improvement in certain aspects, as I will mention later.
They have a surprise tasting menu that I think showcases their cuisine the best. You have to be careful with the amount of dishes you pick though, because it can be quite a lot of food.
Apart from the regular courses, there a lot of small offerings in the middle. Most of them have a lot of ingredients, so it was hard to remember exactly the exact composition of a dish, but the end result was generally excellent.
Their homemade bread is great and quite unique. They served us a "virtual egg" which was made mostly out of pumpkin that was great. The fish was excellent, and the meat for the main dish was just delicious, although I was a bit too full at that point.
All in all the food was excellent. The staff was very attentive as well. However, there are some "but's" that took a bit from the experience. The pacing is pretty uneven. We waited quite a lot between some of the dishes. The staff, while attentive, could use a bit more coordination. I think we got asked by every single waitress if we wanted some more water. And the toilet is definitely substandard for such a restaurant.
This all sounds a bit like nitpicking, but on the other hand this is a Michelin Star Restaurant, so there are certain expectations (the price surely reflects that). I would say our experience was very good, but it could had been even better with some relatively small...
