Stuttgart wine festival is probably the best wine festival in Germany, with a large number of vintners bringing their best wines to the festival. The food is excellent, but more expensive than what you get at other festivals and markets. My favourite is the Camembert deep fried in beer batter, served with cranberry jam and fruit. It pairs nicely with a glass of cold Riesling. On Sundays, there are special events for kids. Unlike at Oktoberfest, things are quieter and the crowd is quite well behaved. When you are in very crowded environment, especially when you are distracted by a performance, make sure your wallet is safe. Better yet, don't bring the wallet - your cards are mostly useless here anyway. Just put some bills in the front pocket (not the one where you keep your phone), and keep your ID in a third pocket. Although it's very safe at the Weindorf, it's always better to take precautions...

A small charming wine village right in the middle of Stuttgart. Many innkeepers bring their wine produce and set up shop right in the middle of the city so it is a good chance to sample a lot of different wines at the same place. However, the wines are a bit overpriced, the food on offer is almost identical at each place and there is not much to do here in terms of entertainment or liveliness over a glass of wine. The atmosphere also feels a little stuffy instead of vibrant and enjoyable. Good for a short stop in the evening but definitely not an unmissable event...

It's a collection of different wineries/restaurants selling wines. A good one off experience but the prices are completely insane. We ordered for one vegetarian maultaschen, one bratwurst with bröt, one Rosè (250 ml), two 2022 Trollinger red wine (250 ml each). Total bill was €47. Three glasses of wine alone cost around €25. If the prices are going to be this steep next year as well, then we won't be going. A word of appreciation for the artists playing in some seated places, they played some very good music and made good vibes. Thanks to them.
