Worst experience ever, extremely rude staff Try it if you want to experience the most embarrassing moment of your life 🙂
Giving one star since zero (or) negative star option is not available! We came here today for the buffet! No one checked on us or suggested a table! Anyway we took a table which we found was defective and shaky! Obviously we would spill the food if we sat at that table and so moved to other table! A waiter came and started shouting at us that we can’t change tables etc and wasn’t even ready to listen to us! I felt bad and went back to explain him why we changed the table. I wanted to show him that the table is shaky! He didn’t want to listen again and when I requested strongly to come with me and look at the table, without even looking he is saying there is no problem in the table and it is good. I’m literally shaking the table in front of him and he is still saying the table is good 🙄🤯
And the worst part, no one in the waiting team or the manager cared to come check what’s going on! Later I called for the manager and a guy came and apologized. I dint need the apology, I just wanted them to acknowledge that the table is defective!
Felt too bad to finish the buffet there! Definitely not visiting this...
Read moreWe had the buffet lunch - it's a pretty good deal at 10.90 per person (drinks extra) Monday to Saturday. We were there on a Saturday and it was fairly crowded but you can still find a table without a reservation (the place is pretty big). The food was quite good and the spread impressive. We especially liked the unlimited sushi, which they would regularly refill. Among starters the fried fish and spring/autumn rolls were very nice, even though some of this fried stuff can feel a little too heavy from all the deep frying. The main course is okayish, more suited to European palates and does not have the authentic Chinese flavours, however the variety is pretty good with vegetables, chicken, prawns, beef served with noodles and rice. To finish off they have very good quality ice cream. They have pretty cheap beer to go with the food - we had the Pils and the Radler. We would recommend going for the lunch menu if you visit. We've also done take away from the place a bunch of times - in these cases we make sure to order from the Chinese specialties on the menu and not the more conventional dishes if you are looking for the real deal. Portion sizes for take away are also huge so order...
Read moreit was definitely a place to be if you like chinese food or you miss home. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the decorations are nice. some of the food was really good.
stir fried hor fun (thick rice noodle) with beef it was fantastic, the noodle texture was just nice, the proportion of oil and noodles was balanced, the beef was tender and well marinated.
homemade tofu was really tasty too. full of flavour and soft in texture.
roasted duck was surprisingly good. is cantonese type of roast. the meat was super tender even the duck breast. loved it.
char siew was not that good, is sweet but the meat was all loin meat, no fat at all. not a fan of that.
the sweet and sour pork is definitely a NO NO for me. the meat is supposed to be small piece and crispy. it was soft and a big chunk of meat. and the flavour probably suitable for foreigners.
double cooked pork (回锅肉) taste was good but the meat is a little bit over cook, is was hard. and the pork is too thick, it should be thinner so the meat can be a little crispy on the outside and soft in the inside too.
overall the food and experience was good there. will go...
