I just moved to Trier a couple months ago and I was looking for a place to study almost in a daily basis similar to Starbucks and I was really happy when I found the Coffee Fellows. My first impression was great: a big room with several really comfortable chairs and tables, free wi-fi signs and some power outlets to spend a few hours enjoying a good coffee or tee while studying or working (I work from home most of the time). So today I decided to go spend some hours studying at Coffee Fellows coffee-house. As soon as I got there I ordered a delicious cold beverage (really similar to a Frappuccino from Starbucks) and I found a seat near a power outlet in the middle of the room inside. I tried to connect to "The Cloud" internet but with no luck, the signal was extremely weak for any of my 3 devices (Laptop, tablet or cellphone). After almost one hour another person took a seat behind me and connected the laptop to the outlet and asked me if I knew any power outlet that was working, I explained that I had not connected to any yet, so she started to walk inside the room testing the outlets and for our disappointment none worked! So she also asked me about the internet and I explained there was no way to connect, and she agreed, she could not even see the access point to connect to. I went to talk to one of the girls that were standing (by the way there are 4 people there doing the work of 2) and she explained that the only power outlet that worked was the one on top of the refrigerator in the entrance door. I went to check it out and there was no way someone would seat there with all the hot air coming out of the refrigerator... She was sorry, but she said it was an old building and no one would care to fix the power outlets inside (!!!). So I decided to get my laptop and my bag to find another coffee place to spend my couple hundred euros every month to study and do some work that actually offers internet connection and working power outlets. It is really a shame that Coffee Fellows will not pay for an electrician to fix the power outlets and that they will not spend 50 Euros with an Wi-fi extender to please their clientèle. Now I understand the reason the Coffee Felows was so empty both times I was there and will probably...
Read moreI went there being in the city for a few hours and knowing the brand. The place is very nice and the staff as well. I was not easy to explain what I wanted in English but we made it in the end. The building and the atmosphere is really nice : lots of space, the decor is nice and it is very comfortable. Was not easy to find a plug to charge my cellphone... But finally get one. The drinks are very nice but I found some food (cake) a bit too cold. Anyways, for a coffee and a drink it's a very nice place where to stay for like an hour or so. Very well place in the city... As close to the bus lines and the...
Read moreI arrived in Trier on a rainy day, with a group of hikers from Oradea, Satu Mare and Medias Romania. After visiting the Basilica, we took shelter from the rain in Coffee Fellows. Everything was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and civilized and the coffee is very good. I spent a very pleasant time. One of the employees of the bar was a young man from Timisoara, Romania, very kind and nice, that's why we would like to thank him and wish him success in everything he does, and last but not least, we thank all the employees of Coffee Fellows for their professionalism and the kindness with which...
