The café is super aesthetic. I was super happy walking in thinking we could have a lovely breakfast. Unfortunately, I never got to taste the food. We got seated and felt pretty luck as the café seems to be pretty popular. After reading through the menu, it was pretty hard to call one of the waitresses (even though we were seated right in front of the counter) as they were super busy and didn't seem to have time for the customers; just trying to get food out. We eventually order. The drink came in pretty fast, which was impressive. We expected the food to come in just as quick! Sadly, that was not what happened. We waited almost an hour on the food. What was really upsetting is that people how ordered after us (like 3 tables) got their food faster than we did, which as a customer, made me feel forgotten and kind of unwelcome. It just wasn't the vibe... We wanted to leave asap since we didn't have much time left as out train would be arriving soon. The ONLY reason I'm giving this place 3 stars as opposed to two or even one is because its aesthetic and they, after a while of trying to signal them again, gave us the drinks on the house.
It was a big letdown tbh. I wish they would have informed us that the food would take longer as opposed to treating us like ghosts who weren't even there until we interacted...
Read moreThe location is very nice, and the cafe is very cozy. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and efficient. However, Cafe Bloggers unfortunately shares the same fate as many other businesses in Konstanz: the food just isn’t that great for the price.
Most main breakfast dishes (e.g. some version of an egg sandwich with bacon, or a bagel with eggs) are around the €15 mark, which means that you’ll spend around €40 for two people for one dish and one drink each.
I had the eggs and bacon sandwich (minus the guacamole) and it was.. ok. It’s brioche bread, bacon, eggs and a slice of cheese, all covered in too much sauce, for €15. Very “instagramable” for sure, but forgettable otherwise. My matcha latte was also very sugary.
Overall. The location is nice and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, so I don’t fault them at all. However, I don’t think I’ll be back for food but would certainly go back again...
Read moreMy partner and I went twice for brunch and got different options each time. Overall friendly staff and good ambiance but unfortunately did not love the food. Notes as follows:
Shashuka: not very flavorful. Could have probably used some more salt and middle eastern spices eg dukkah Holy guacamole: one of the better dishes with good amount of flavor Popeye: tasted okay but lots of mayo and honestly too much brioche Egg drop sandwich: lots of mayo again and the sweetness of the brioche was overwhelming
I really wanted to like the food as the plating is great and it certainly photographs well but the flavor doesn't match. If they could find the right balance they would...
